Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone here had flown recently and brought mepron with them in their carry-on? Is it ok to just have the bottle with the prescription on it, or did you need to bring a prescription from the doctor as well?
Also, I was looking on the TSA site and it said you had to declare prescriptions when going through security, but I was unclear on whether that just applied to liquids. Anyone know? I must admit I'll be a little embarrassed pulling out all my meds

I just flew a week ago and am flying tomorrow. No problem with prescriptions, just had the bottle. Mepron isn't one of my meds but I do have a bunch of others.
As a matter of fact a couple like Norvasc and Elavil were in my daily vitamin container, no bottle, still no problem. Now that I think about it, I wonder if it could be a problem.
I have always flown that way, but don't really have any major pain killers or anything like that.

Any meds you take with you they can not take away. All you do is declare them on you, so they are aware you have them.
If you are worried about traveling with liquid abx, also know that CVS and pretty much all major chain pharmacies keep percriptions on record. So You could fly to your destination, stop and a CVS and they can fill your perscription there with out question. Its also nice incase you loose your meds for whatever reason when you are on vacation.

No problems taking the yellow paint on board. As long as you have the prescription label on the meds with your name they can't deny you.
My husband flew with that ghastly stuff many times very recently--so no sweat. Yum, you get to keep enjoying that delicious concoction!

I just flew Delta and trust me, I have alot of prescriptions. I put them in my carry on. Not a problem at all.
They did decide they needed to go through my jewelry on the way home but no harm just left the pouch open so it could be strewn all over suitcase.

My understanding from last reading of the TSA website was any liquid medication that's in a more than 3 oz container needs to be in a separate plastic baggie from your other little liquids. They said to tell them and take it out with the others.
It shouldn't be a problem with the presciption on it. As far as I can tell.
I've taken other meds on their original bottles and some sorted into pill boxes and have not had them questioned. You can leave those in your bag and if they want to see them they'll look. I think they are only concerned with liquids and gels for the most part.

I had one carry- on case that contained all of my supplies for my IV Rocephin. I infuse every day
I had a weeks worth in my bag. All of the liquid IV bags, everything.
My llmd sent a letter with me to take through security. On my way to the destination, they took my bag aside and carefully went through it.
I offered to show my letter but they said they didn't need it (although, I think it is spelled out that it is required on an earlier post
on this subject recently-that's why i requested the letter from my llmd)
On the way back, my bag went through and they didn't check it at all. Maybe because there was
only one days meds in it. It does depend on who you get checking your things while you go through
security and what kind of mood they're in. I'm serious. Also, what kind of mood YOU'RE IN.
They definitely respond to negativity from people with negativity and then they go over board.
Smile, have your letter or perscription in hand and everything should go smooth.
And I notice that they are more careful going through a bag of medicine than other items, like your personal jewelry, etc.

I have lots of pills and carry on my make-up bag.
Never had a problem.
Course they pitched a large bottle of perfume........
