I have been taking Biaxin/Plaq. I first started off w/only Biaxin for a week, then added in the Plaq and keep getting vicious stomach aches, bad ones, then nausea and chest pressure. I've only been taking the Plaq for about 4 days...Dr. D said that he believes it's dieoff but is there a way to tell? The last couple of times I mentioned it he wanted me to try to tough it out but I'm not sure I can tolerate this much longer.
Thanks for any thoughts/experiences.

I found with myself and abx that pulsing helped some. Usually day 3 or 4 of a new abx would send me spiraling down big time. So that might be what you are experiencing.
My doc and later my LLMD recommended daily dosing, I just couldn't handle the severe herxing. The advice from them was to back off all abx for a couple days until sx started to let up and then start again.
Some LLMD believe you should pulse so that you are not having bad herxes and stressing the body even more. I remember sometimes toughing it out felt deathly.

I just responded to another one of your posts about what to expect from Dr. P.
Dr. P. will help you quickly determine whether or not the medication is causing you distress, or if it is a herx.
There are other medication combinations to try. He probably will try to switch you to something else to see if you have the same response or not.
Dr. P. is very conservative and will NOT do anything to hurt you.
Don't worry. Maybe you can take two days off the medication before you see Dr. P for some symptom relief. Give Dr. P all the details and he'll get to the bottom of it.
