Receieved a copy of my IGeneX Western Blot results. The IgM came back negative for both IGenex and CDC/NYS. The IgG came back IGenex positive, CDC/NYS negative. Dont know how convinced I am with the results, as I still question whether I truly have lyme. Also, I doubled my Flagyl intake yesterday from 750mg to 1500mg. At night I experienced extreme pain and burning running down both arms. It felt like my biceps were torn and my hands tingled. Could that be result of the increased dosage, or is it a coincidence? I experienced a similar, though not as intense of a pain the week befor when I began Flagyl. Just wanted to know your thoughts.
You have some Lyme specific bands on that test. If you are having symptoms, I would say you have Lyme. A positive test with symptoms indicates you have it.
I'm sure Lymetoo will come along and post what the various bands mean.
Why are you doubting it? Do you have symptoms?

Wondering the same thing. With bands 83-93 you can't have anything but lyme in my non-medical opinion.
83: This is the DNA or genetic material of Borrelia burgdorferi. It is the same thing as the 93, based upon the medical literature. But laboratories vary in assigning significance to the 83 versus the 93.
93: The DNA or genetic material of Borrelia burgdorferi.
Then on top of that you have bands 41, 58, and 66:
"The significant antibodies, in my opinion, are the 18, 23-25, 28, 30, 31, 34, 39, 58, 66 and 93." (dr c of mo)

Yes, I have symptoms, mostly neurological, including burning sensations in my legs, pain in my hips, tingling, dizziness, plugged ears, fatigue, etc. Its just hard to imagine that after so many years that you may have found the cause of all your medical problems, and that you may actually be able to physically feel better. I suppose I wont truly believe until I feel better from the abx.

PS... You can get neuropathy pain from flagyl....but your pain could also be from the lyme. Flagyl kills the cyst form of the spirochetes.
