Does anyone experience burning, stinging, jabbing pain sensations that ping pong from one side of the body to the other? Ex: Stabbing hot pain in left shoulder then going to Right knee, to left breast, to left thigh, to bottom of foot, to top of head. There is no rhyme or reason as to th pattern it chooses to attach but the stabbing burning pain is becoming stronger and more painful. Thank you for thoughts and input.

My stabbing pains never feel hot, but, yes, I do have stabbing pains all over my body that come and go.

My nerves also crawl, creep and grab, and of course they burn.

Yes, and it is interesting that you say left breast, because that has been an issue the last year. Try Biaxin!

Yes I get this & have so for years. Yesterday I had one just underneath my collar bone & at the same time I felt the stinging pain on my right shin.

This and migraines are my lingering symptoms. It feels like some one implanted little red hot pokers in hundreds of places all over!

Cindy - yes that's how it feels to me, too. I tested negative for the Bart. ... Hmm, I guess I need to check that out more. I sure appreciate everyone's reply. Cindy - are you on abx and being treated for Bart?

Have had 2 negative tests, but I am being treated. Have done 3-4 weeks of Levaquin 4 times. Each time I have herxed with these symptoms and then gradually felt better. My Lyme pain seems more joint related.

Cindy,

Mine is more joint related, too. I was on abx for almost 2 years and haven't been on abx for maybe 3 years now. These stabbing pains are new.

Yeah, do you have the roving pinches and tingling, humming thing with that?

the random burning, stabbing, pinching pains are driving me nuts! Its constant and enough pain to make me jump out of my seat or think i have been stung by a bee (I actually once thought i was stung by a wasp one time... [Razz] ).

Its just no fun adn keeps getting worse. Does anyone know any way to lessen this weird pain?

I hope things get better for us!

I'm really sorry you're having this symptom.

It's one that affected me a LOT initially. The searing pain would be so sharp, so intense, I didn't think I could stand it.

For me, acupuncture helped and gentle acupressure. Also that generic blue ice stuff you csan buy in drugstores helped my knee when this would happen.

I'm being treated for Lyme, Bart and Babs, and this is a symptom that's almost completely disappeared, thankfully!
Sometimes it's hard for me to separate what medicines and herbs are helping what symptoms, but this is one symptom I'm glad to leave behind.

I hope you're able to find some relief!

I get this one too.

What a great descrition Cindy : "It feels like some one implanted little red hot pokers in hundreds of places all over!"

I have described it as some mean little miniature people running around the inside of my my body poking me with needles on the inside!

Sounds like the same pain.

All docs but my LLMD just look at me like I am completely nutso when I describe this. Now I know I am not crazy ...............

TrueBlue,
Yes, I've had the humming along with the sensations, too. As of late though there is no humming and the descriptions all fit my own. Lately these sensations have increased a LOT and the intensity of pain is also greater. I did think I was being stung by a yellow jacket today for real but was not. ( And yes it does feel like there's a little person inside just poking a needle into me!) As of today, it's hurting a lot .The intensity is spreading into larege areas of my body and it's painful. Just wondering if anyone has seen a neurologist for this?

Hey cousin Debbie!! [hi] You sneaked in here and flew right under the radar!!! Sorry I missed your post!!

I've definitely had migrating pain...for sure. The stabbing pains aren't really part of my repertoire, thank goodness!!! [Eek!]

Most of us avoid neurologists as much as rheumatologists!! Not my cup of tea!!!

As per your phone call, I think your new plan of getting abx is a good one!!

[group hug] Debbie [group hug]

[Hey gang....welcome my real-life cousin back to Lymenet!!] [woohoo]
