I KNOW! I can't help myself! It's just that sometimes I see such stupid stuff!!!!
You've probably seen the latest scientific research study saying that it might be a good idea to use antibiotics to get rid of tick borne diseases BY GIVING THEM TO THE TICKS!!!
You know.. they want to spread antibiotics in the woods and fields... so the ticks will be exposed to them... and it MAY kill SOME of the spirochetes inside them.
This is in a day and age where the same people are whining and crying that there is an overuse of antibiotics already.. and PEOPLE with infectious disease shouldn't have the antibiotics!!!
Well I just saw this study.. on how to prevent Salmonella, Hepatitis and other infections.
The good old CDC is at it AGAIN!!!
Anyone want to join me in writing to the head of the CDC to get them to start a study like this for Lyme disease?

The protective effect of alcohol on the occurrence of epidemic oyster-borne hepatitis
A.Desenclos JA, Klontz KC, Wilder MH, Gunn RA. Division of Field Epidemiology, Centers for Disease Control, U.S. Public Health Service, Atlanta, GA.
Limited data indicate that drinking alcoholic beverages along with eating food contaminated with Shigella or Salmonella decreases the risk and/or the severity of illness.
No such study has been reported following exposure to a viral pathogen.
During an oyster-borne outbreak of hepatitis A, we studied the effect of ingestion of alcoholic beverages concomitant with consumption of contaminated oysters.
The analysis was restricted to 51 cases and 33 controls who had consumed the implicated raw oysters.
After controlling for potential confounders, we found a protective effect for beverages that have an alcohol concentration of greater than or equal to 10% (odds ratio = 0.1, 95% confidence interval = 0.02-0.9), but not for beverages with an alcohol concentration of less than 10% (odds ratio = 0.7, 95% confidence interval = 0.2-2.9).

No...not abx. Give ticks a blood meal laced with the amino acid glycine and perhaps d-ribose.
It's okay for us...we need this amino acid. It is one component in glutathione. We need also d-ribose to make RNA -> DNA.

Let's lump the CDC, Homeland Security and the FDA (that does not keep track of our tainted food) ex:spinach, into one large group of uninformed, do nothing losers!!!!!! It's so frustrating !! Looks to me like consuming alcohol is the answer to not getting ill !!!!!!!!!!!!!! YIPEEEEEEEEE

Looks to me... they are comsuming a bit too much alcohol during the studies! Posted by Marnie (Member # 773) on :
Alcohol DOES alter proteins and we DO react to the proteins in Bb's outer cell wall.
That doesn't mean it destroys Bb...or does it?
However, if you want to really screw up the neurotransmitters even MORESO...
Become an alcoholic.

Alcohol destroys brain cells. A good example of this is Cheney.
I really think Cheney should take Dubya duck hunting for some male bonding. I think it would make them a tighter team and better team players. Of course being the intelligent leaders of our country we could trust that they would not be mixing sport shooting with booze or coke.
If they get tired after all that activity out there in the woods let them sit on a log and plan how to waste more money in Iraq.

tincup, 1992; this was 15 years ago; why are you studying something so OLD; nothing new to read ?
