hey guys-

my brainfog is crazy. i wanted to see if anyone else has it like this and/or what helped (was it lyme or co infection?)

i feel so detatched from everything. its more visual than mental. although my mental processing is slower than normal, this is like a haze.

if i am in a room, watching tv, i dont notice it as much. but as soon as i start walking around (slowly) outside or anywhere with multi stimuli, it all is a blur.

cant really focus on any one thing.

i also have pressure in my neck (that has moved from my head). this pressure is in the rear.

this pressure is so bad i can feel it in my jaw. when i eat it makes it worse.

it comes with a stiff neck that cracks, and and a back that feels like cement.

sorry guys, i AM venting here.

anyway, anyone that can relate please share, thanks so much [rant]

I can relate.

I get that kind of brain fog, too. Somehow I can better express myself on the computer than in speaking.

I can be in my own little bubble and not notice anything else going on, but too much stimuli bothers me.

I don't have the jaw and neck pain because I've had my TMJ fixed.

Many non-verbal autistic kids can express themselves on a keyboard. I have friends who have a child who does this.

It must use a different area of the brain.

I've been off abx about 2 months. I have severe anxiety/panic, I'm taking St Johns wort to help. Hopefully this is part of the healing process.

djf, I lived with brain fog for 5 years before I started having clear headed days. My detachment felt mental even though I was having many vision sx also.

Today I can be completely clear headed and all of sudden for no known reason I'm in a fog again. Now it doesn't hang around. It was horrible feeling.

Hi djf,

the buhner herbal and nutritional recommendations have helped me with brain fog.

He recommends huperzine A (with ginko), and vinpocetine. I also take lecithin. These, in conjunction with antibiotic treatment, have helped alot over the past year.

Hi djf2005

I can really relate as neuro symptoms of detactched feeling, blank mind & brain fog where one of my worst symptoms. It did get better over time with treatment. It did get alot worse with herxing . And it did take alot of time to clear the neuro-toxins when I finally stopped treatment. I still do rife & when I do I can get back temporaily the bad brain fog ect... but it doesn't last as long as with abx.

hang in there [group hug]
Dana
