I was disappointed that he indicated that you didn't have to worry about getting Lyme if you were in your yard where the grass was cut. I have read of a golf course maintenance worker contracted Lyme and became disabled and could not work. It was interesting that the news reporter brought up the question asking if it was now easier for people to be treated for Lyme Disease than previous years. I would have liked for Dr. Fallon to discuss some issues under research that they have found from patients with Lyme.

my Dad picks 3 ticks off himself in the last week & he lives in the suburbs with grass ect.. NOT the woods. He declines to go get help though & there's no talking to him abou it. Good chance he caught shows like this & thinks no problem.

And what is with not to worry so much if not attached for 24 hours. This is very misleading to people. Some people may say "hey this tick was not attached 24 hours...no problem" I don't have to get checked or treatment. Dangerous.

And finally NO, it is much more difficult to get treatment for lyme disease now, than at any other time in history. Even with a rash or known tick bite alot of doctors are not rxing doxy or any abx' because of the cuurent political/medical environment.

This interview makes me [Frown]

I love Dr. F But am dissapointed with him right now.
