Hi All,

There's a lot of talk about probiotics here and the brands people take. "I take multiple strains" and "take alot" is frequently mentioned.

But rarely do people mention exactly what they're taking and HOW MANY of each.

I think it would be useful for us to list it out for comparison's sake. I'll start...

Everyday I take:

- 2 Healthy Trinity capsules (by Natren) and
- 2 Ultimate Flora capsules (by Renew Life)

I take a brand called "Florajen3"
Acidophilus, Bifidum, Longum (15 billion cultures per capsule) Pills have to stay refrigerated.

But I buy them at a health food store in Lebanon, New Jersey

I take various ones. Currently I have the following:

acidophilus pearls
Gastro Complete by NewMark
Custom Probiotics (by my local pharmacy)
Kefir (store bought)

I take Theralac, as do many on here. It was recommended by my LLMD and it has been great for me! [Big Grin]

People - the whole point of my poll was that you were supposed to say HOW MANY A DAY you were taking!

If those that already posted can edit their posts to add the info, that would be great.

I take accidophilus from the lady the wrote the book "Breaking the Vicious Cycle" she is verrryyyy smart. I also take a powder form but forgot the name of it. I dont think kyou can overdose on probiotics...

The following are taken 2X per day
1 Theralac
2 Bifidus Balance + FOS (Jarrow's Formulas)
1 Primadophilus Bifidus (Nature's Way)
2 Saccharomyces BoulardiII + MOS
4 ozs low carb/sugar free yogurt with live cultures

Once per day
2 Acidophilus & Bifidus - Double Strength (Natural Factors)
4-6 oz's kefir

I tried to cut this down to once per day but I developed diarrhea that would not stop until I moved the dose back up.

Metagenics DF 3 times a day which works out to be in reality 1 to 2 times a day if even.

I think my yeast situation is much better then before due to diet and Tibetan herbs.

You also need to post the strength of the capsules. I take 1 a day when I use Ultimate Flora by Renew Life.

It is 50 billion of 10 strains. If I take other types, I make sure they are close to 50 billion total or I start to feel Yeasty.

I take 1-2 refrigerated capsules by Pharmax per day. Here is a copy of ingredients:

Ingredients:
Each capsule contains:

HLC LAB4 Consortium......8-12 Billion viable cells
L. acidophilus CUL 60
L. acidophilus CUL 21
Bifidobacterium bifidum CUL 21
Bifidobacterium lactis CUL 34
Fructo-oligo-saccharides (FOS)....... 300 mg

Other Ingredients: Cellulose, silica, vegetable magnesium stearate.

Intensive Phase
Take 1/3 to 1/2 teaspoon or 1-2 capsules twice daily after meals for one month.

3 Solaray Anti-Yeast about 3 times a week!!!
Should do it every day but honestly I forget!!!
Sacc-Boulardii about once a month!!!!!!!!
