was treated for lyme with biaxin, plaq and Minocyclene from April 06 for 8 months, stopped treatment per rec of LLMD in late Nov 06 and felt fine for about 5 months. I had a CD57 done when I stopped and i scored a low 23, but LLMD said this score usually lagging indicator.
About 4-6 weeks ago started feeling bad again but thought it was stress. Went and had a western blot and IGG had bands 31 and 41 present while IGM had bands 23 and 41 present. My CD57 was a high 98.
My questions are -> once you have lyme, will IGG and IGM always show up with bands as positive? Is CD57 always a lagging indicator?

I was just commenting on the CD 57 thread that my PCP who treats many in our area for lyme recently told me his criteria for taking folks off abx.
Two months symptom-free while on abx and a CD 57 # of 150+
It sure looks like you need to continue treatment.
I don't think I will ever go off the daily supplements that I took during my 14 months of treatment and I have added resveratrol, cat's claw and cumanda to my regimen. (not a recommendation)
I have to stay well because so many in my family are ill. I have been symptom free now 5 months and my 57 at the end of treatment was 200.

your comments on the CD57 are interesting because my LLMD told me he rarely sees anyone above 100 ... so the normal range of 60-150 is not something he adheres to.

No i have never heard that comment about the CD 57.
I just looke dback in the notebook I received at the symposium.
One llmd's slides said this: low counts seen in chronic lyme when infection has been active greater than 1 year
: reflects degree of infection
: can be a screening test
: predicts a relapse if low when abx end
: must be done by labcorp (normal is above 200)
: below 20 severe illness
: 20-60 most common results in chronic patients
: above 60 the lyme activity is minimal
: above 120 the relapse is not as likely after treatment ends
