Just wanted to see if anyone else out there had experienced these symptoms. I havn't had them lately, but they were really bad shortly after the time when I think I was infected.

I would get dizzy just about every time I stood up. My vision would disappear and I would see large brown spots (not floaters) and the spots would move around (can't remember exactly, but I think they got big and then small??)..... after a minute then my vision would return and the spots would go away.

One other non-related incident. I was dizzy once at work and everything turned white. I've always thought that was unusual because from what I hear, everything should turn black and then you pass out. But for me, everything was turning white. I had moved into an apartment they day before and hadn't eaten anything, which explains why I was dizzy, but not why everything was turning white. [confused]

sounds like a blood pressure issue. Things like that would happen to me for a while. When you go to stand up, your blood pressure can drop, in an effort to combat loosing total unconciousness your brain turns off different systems like your vision, or hearing.

I do not know if this is the case with you, but i would say thats my best bet.

I would start to black out, see spots of different colors for around 30 sec when I would get up from a siting or lying position. Also once randomly i because SUPER dizzy and lost my hearing, had to lye down for about 2 min untill it passed and then i was totally fine.

It could also be migraines. You can get migraines without pain, and they usually involve visual disturbances.

But a dizziness when you stand suggests blood pressure, it could be related to the autonomic nervous system which is impacted by Lyme. But that usually comes after a while of being sick, rather than when first infected.

okay....well, I actually think that I was born with lyme, and was reinfected about 13 years ago. I think I've had the dizzy spells most of my life, except for recently.

All of my symptoms pretty much went away when I started the GFCF diet.

Of course, when I asked a Dr. about the dizziness he just said "that just happens to some people." It seems like I got that answer for every symptom I every had.

This happens to me A LOT when I am symptomatic. My LLMD took my blood pressure while I was sitting on the table, then had me stand up and immediately took it again. He said my blood pressure was dropping upon standing and this was what was causing this for me.

He advised me to always stand up slowly and also to eat more salt as my blood pressure was typically on the low side. I would not advise anyone else to eat more salt as that can be harmful to many, but it helps me.
