After 18 months of pure lyme he--,I am now out of bed and starting to act human again.
But I have a mouth full of blisters, on the roof of my mouth that won't quit.
I've seen my dentist and an oral surgeon and they both did a Cancer screening and said the lesions do not look like Cancer.
I am in the middle of a HUGE Candida flare-up, but the Diflucan does not seem to be cutting it. I also take Nystatin.
I tried taking 1 Amoxy 2 nights ago, and my mouth looked like someone painted it white overnight.
In the beginning of my treatment I was diagnosed with Lyme and Babs but my last Dr. did a FISH test for Babesia and said it was negative.
My throat and stomach are burning and for some really odd reason my saliva glands are either working overtime, or sometimes I feel like these blisters are breaking !
I am having a sputum for culture tomorrow and a throat culture and sensitivity.
My mouth feels horrible.

I have had similar problems ever since I had IV antibiotics 3 years ago for the Lyme. It was gross, awful, painful and very difficult to treat. Because I also had yeast "issues" in my intestines and stomach, we were assuming the sores in my mouth were also yeast related. Plus the fact that there would be white strings of garbage coming out of the corners of my mouth in the morning. Sorry for being so gross...but lyme can be ugly at times.
Anyway, was treated with ALL kinds of prescription anti-fungals. Helped in other areas, but not with my mouth.
The only thing that EVER helped, was swishing a couple times a day with a watered down dose of biotic silver.

Is collodial silver and what you used the same ? The drainage is causing my throat and stomach to burn...........YIKES !!!

Yes, Biotic Silver is similar I believe to Colloidal Silver. Biotic Silver is made by Professional Wellness - Candida Wellness Center. You can google their website, sorry I don't know how to insert a link.
I, by the way......DO use Collodial silver externally for skin problems. I save the Biotic Silver for using in my mouth AND taking internally. It is pretty pricey....but for me has 100% been worth the cost.
Believe me, I tried just about everything for my mouth with no sucess, until I discovered this gem!

One possibility is that your sores are from candida. You can rinse with some acidophilus or other probiotics in water.
Another possibily is that your body is very acid from detoxing.
If this is the case, a quick fix (although it tastes pretty bad) is to rinse with a baking soda and water solution.
To reduce acid, drink water with lemon juice in it, and take calcium daily. When you feel sores starting, take extra calcium.
I hope you find something that works!
FYI, if you use lots of colloidal silver, it may be worth making your own. Sota instruments sells a silver maker for about $150.00. It makes a high quality product.

High Quality powdered probiotic directly on the sores and left in the mouth have helped me. I don't know if they will help your sores or not.

You can also get mouth sores from viruses. If yeast treatment doesn't help, you might want to try an antiviral drug.

Oral Nystatin Suspension is what you should ask your doctor for. You swish it around for a couple of minutes and then swallow it. Before I got this, I would dissolve a Nystatin tablet in a couple ounces of hot water, let it cool and then swish it around in my mouth. The oral suspention definitely tastes better, but in a pinch the dissolved tablet isn't so bad.
I haven't even been abx in months and I still get a sore tongue from yeast. Takes awhile to get rid of it - and be careful! You can pass it back and forth by kissing your significant other - I know!!
You might also try opening an acidophilus capsule and dumping it right on your tongue and just letting it sit there for awhile. I find that it doesn't really have much of a taste at all.

If you feel like it`s a Candida issue, it could be that it is non-albicans, for instance Candida glabrata, in which case Diflucan does not work. Nystatin does somewhat, but I was told by a gyn that it does not work systemically, so you would need to put the Nystatin powder directly on it. My LLMD gave me Sporanox (Itraconazole), saying it would get the glabrata, but I read on the internet that it is not first choice because of resistance issues. In the same article Flucytosine (i.v.) was named as the drug of choice. I get Herpes blisters on the roof of my mouth from time to time, but with Herpes you would be in a great deal of pain, not just from the sores, but nerve pain as well. Have them do a culture. Kathi

A deficiency of folic acid can cause mouth sores .
When I added extra b vitamins and folic acid to my diet , I found relief for my nasty sores .

You may want to try the amino acid Lysine. It can help with cold sores and canker sores, so maybe it could help with this too?
