Hi everyone,
Looks like we're back again [Frown] Although while I'm gone, I do think about all of you and how you are doing.

Greg had a SUPER 11 months [woohoo] Attended college, all A's, pulled late nights and had a great night life. Now he's home for the summer and relapsing. It really stinks.

Had 20 viles of blood drawn last week to find out what is going on.

Anyways, Greg is on a ton of suppliments, one is COQ 10. At the dr's, it's $60 for 30 choc. tablets. This is "all natural". The processed kind is a lot cheaper at BJ's. Anyone know of any difference????

Thank goodness this board is here to help all of through these tough times.

As always, [confused]

Try www.vitacost.com for CoQ10 at reasonable prices.

Good to see you back here! [Smile]

$60! Whoa! CoQ10 is pretty expensive, but that is too much for only 30 tabs. The price can also depend on how much CoQ10 is in each tablet. They sell them at different 'potencies'. I would defintely look at the website above and find a cheaper source:)

Good luck. I'm sorry to hear about the relapse. I usually have the opposite problem...summers and relaxing usually helps!

I can't afford the buggers. Try spinach. It's high in COQ10, and I'm growing my own. Much cheaper.

Yeah, I can't believe how much these buggers have gone up in price!!! I just wonder how much more effective the pricey ones are compared to the cheaper ones. Hate to skimp on Greg's health.

Didn't realize it was in spinach. For the past few months I've been adding spinach to our salads. Good for you for growing your own!!! I just stick to growing tomatoes, peppers and beans. Oh ya and squash.

If it makse you feel better, I just paid $99 for some from my doctor's office! [Embarrassed]

I had been taking another brand from another practitioner's office, which seemed to work well and were cheaper.

The doctor explained why this more expensive brand was better...I think it was more bioavailable or something. Since I am really deficient in it, I thought I would try it. If I don't notice any difference I'm going back to the cheaper one that I know works well.

CO Q 10 is in salmon as well. I hope your son recovers soon.

For those on Malarone or Mepron do not take CO Q 10 period even if it is hours away from when you took your babesia meds.

my LLMD said not to take CoQ 10.

So how come you're not suppost to take coQ 10??? Greg's on nothing for the lyme right now. Just tons of suppliments.

If your son is put on babesia meds it will keep the babeisa meds from working.

Because he is not on babesia meds yet I would think it would be okay for him to take CO Q 10. I do not know what the other poster was thinking who said if he has lyme not to take CO Q 10 because they did not write a reason. Maybe they will clarify.

Now Naturals makes a okay lower priced one. Nick who does their product developement is pretty conscious because I helped him develope some products when I was working for another company that made a delivery system for herbs and vitamins and no I have no financial connection with Now Naturals. I like their vitamins too.

Here's a good sale on CoQ10 this week. It might not be up for long, if you are checking this thread at a later date.
