Has anyone tried this for pain control? I have trouble with pain meds, have gone the route of accupuncture and it never helped me personally with pain.
Did the various massages, P.T. makes the pain worse, and the only thing I found relief instantly from was chiropractic practices, but since they say I have degenerative disc disease as well, it isn't recommended.
I'm almost eight months into treatment and have been dealing with herxes alright but most weren't painful, but just weird symptoms. Since starting the mepron, zith and art, I'm sweating, high anxiety and suffering from so much pain.
My LLMD mentioned that I could try this Cranial Osteopathy since it would be new, but as I read about it, I question if there is any legitimacy to it. Any one have first hand experience?
Any and all opinions welcomed as well as other options for pain, outside of the heating pads and ice packs that I'm already doing.

I have done something similar. It is craniosacral therapy. It is a very gentle touch technique. I was amazed the first time I felt the fluid in my spine travel from my cranium to my sacram. It was a little wierd but, it felt like things "opened up".
I can't say that it specifically helps with pain but it does help with my overall health. I don't take any pain meds. So, perhaps it does help with that.
I can say for sure that it calms me. Others say it energizes them. Either effect is good in my opinion.
Try it.

Hi Cathy,
I do think that cranialsacral or cranial osteopathy can work wonders for pain in combination with something that is killing off the bacteria. A certain type of cranial sacral work, called core synchronism, helped me a lot. It helped the pain, and it improved circulation in my body, relieved a lot of the neurological symptoms I had, and seemed to improve the effectiveness of antibacterial stuff I was on (antibiotics and essential oils).

I too have done the cranial osteopathy and found it very calming. The D.O. does more than just that. He also aligns the body and works with fluid flows of the body.
It did seem to help with pain most of the time but not always.
I am having better results for pain with the microcurrent machine applied by a local chiropractor.
Cranial sacral therapy, very similar to cranial osteopathy, is the only thing that has really helped me with pain, and it has worked wonders.
I think the outcome depends mostly on the experience of the practitioner and his or her skill level.

I also used cranial sacral therapy and had a great therapist! I can't say it eliminated my pain but it helped SOMETHING!!
VERY relaxing!

Thank you for all the feedback. I have an appointment with a D.O. for this, but they can't get me in until July 31st. Seems like a long time when you are fighting pain, but they said they would call if there is a cancelation.
It definitely sounds like it works for some of you, so certainly worth trying. Thanks for the help.

Hi, I did try cranio sacral therapy as well. It was very helpful for other problems, like helping the liver cope with so many antibiotics and reversing the damage caused by longterm drugs.
Mepron is hard on the liver, so you may be experiencing the side effects from that. Depending on your financial situation, you can try Dr. Zhang's Hepa Formula 2 (www.hepapro.com), N-acetyl cysteine, schizandra, and milk thistle.
I got relief from Celebrex, but there are side effects to this medication that you may wish to research before taking it.

Liz,
I've been doing the Zhang protocol with my antibiotics since my diagnosis, although my LLMD says I am not ready to move on to HH yet. Not sure what that means, but I've been following his path.
I had been on Milk Thistle through most of this but was on a med that he said I needed to stop it for, but can't remember which med that was...whether currently or one in the past. Guess I should find out.
Thanks for your imput on the body work though. Sounds like it may not help with the pain, but may be good for me overall. Just wish I didn't have such a long wait to get in when you just feel so horrid.

Cathy:
Take deep calming breaths and look forward to your appointment. I too had to wait a month for my first appointment.
