Could you have pink-eye???
I get the swelling from low thyroid too.
Wear sunglasses and be mysterious.....
Hope you get some relief soon.
Try a couple of cold cucumber slices over your eyes while you lay back.
Maybe that will help.
Hugs,
Geneal

My daughter gets that way with yeast. Do you take Theralac? This is what happens when there is a lapse.

My husband has had something similar.
He has some eye issues and when he started mino (day 6) he had very bloodshot eyes and puffiness in that soft tissue you speak of. It has now happened several times since-comes and goes. This was different than pink eye which he had many times before dx and abx.

Do you think it could be an allergy?

That's my thought. I've had this problem and was prescribed Patanol - allergy eye drops.

I used to get blurry vision a lot. But mostly now when I have been on the computer here too long, too late at night.
I found that Periwinkle, Devils Claw and Stephania helped my eyes trememndously. Especially the Devil's Claw does.
IF you are not using it, try it. Also I have heard of others who use Stephania Root as a decoction to wash out their eyes with good results.

My eyes flare off and on, often they're really bad when I first wake up.
Homeopathic "Dry Eye Relief" formula by Similisan makes them feel better. I think they sell it at WalMart, Vitamin Shoppe, maybe CVS Pharmacy.
I find heat on them helps, if you have one of those little flax pillow bags you can microwave. At first my eyes are fuzzy, but then they clear and don't feel so sore.
Wearing sunglasses may help. I've also smoothed liquid bentonite clay on the upper lids and underneath my eyes. It dries quickly so doesn't run into the eyes. Wait a few hours and then rinse it off.
Yeah, it looks and feels great to have your eyes all swollen!

Many Lyme patients get blepharitis. I got my first couple of bouts a few years into treatment.
It can cause puffiness of the eyelids above and below, and a flaking of the skin around the eye, and the red eye.
My LLMD said to put warm compresses on the eye a couple of times a day, then wash the eyelid and eyelashes with baby shampoo to get the flakiness to go away, otherwise it can spread to the other eye (I just had it in one eye). It would kind of sting when I'd do it, but it did eventually go away.
I have no idea if that's what you have, but I'm just throwing it out there as something to consider. A Lyme pal of mine gets blepharitis whenever her yeast flares up.
I get really red eyes from Bart.

Oh--I forgot--the itchy red areas on your skin--that sounds like a herx reaction, a secondary erythema migrans rash.
Are they sort of rough and hot feeling? I got that one time all over my face, neck and chest...

I know I have Lyme, and I am not sure which coinfections I have (still negative), but I've had a number of eye issues. Mine are so bad, I can no longer wear contacts.
Red, swollen, puffy eyes. They itch and sometimes sting even. Bloodshot whites, too.
A lot of 'goop' in the corners of my eyes - the goop ranges from yellow to fluorescent green - I'm not exaggerating here either.
Sometimes I get glops of something in my field of vision. I go look - nothing seems to be there.
Other times I get these same glops of something in my field of vision. I go to look, and pull strings of whitish-yellow stuff out of my eyes.
Goops and glops - nice, huh?
Severely hotophobic at times, too. Like squinting when I turn the light on in the bathroom at night - only my eyes never adjust, so I keep squinting.

I think this is likely due to the Ceftin, as it is a documented side effect. Talk to your doctor about it ASAP.
I don't have Lyme, but have been on Ceftin 500 mg 2X daily for the past year, for another reason.
Like yourself, I recently developed eyelid puffiness, eye dryness, and burning & redness around the eyes, especially in the areas which come in contact with my tears. Feels like pinkeye, but not quite. When I reduced the Ceftin for a few days, the eyes got better.

i looked up amoxy and the redness, itching, are all side effects.
so how do you tell if it's the amoxy or an allergic reactin?
