Does anyone have any suggestions for good products to replace lost electrolytes?

No "Gatorade", please...

I actually take potassium pills from health food store, when my electrolyes are low. I can tell when they are low because I get a metallic taste in my mouth. I take magnesium supplements evry night regardless.

I also just started drinking something called "Smart Water". It is fortified w/potassium and mag...nothing else.

a couple good ones...

Designs for Health - Electrolyte Synergy

Morin Labs - Selectrolytes

but I mostly just use mineral salt (Real Salt brand) in water with a tiny bit of juice added. for me it's cheaper and just as effective.

The Bioplasma mentioned above is a combination of all 12 of the cell salts that Hylands makes. They actually give me energy and I like to take them right before I go on a hike or exercise. The label use to read take 6 now they changed it to 4 but I still take 6.

I know our "little friend" sells them for $15 on her website because I bought them from her before. If you do not want to get cauliflower ear and who would you can always pick them up at Whole Foods or Rainbow.

Prunes are super super high in potassium.
1 or 2 is plenty a day.

The cheapest plact to get Bioplasma that I've found is Vitacost. I think about $9.00 instead of $14 or $15.

I add ConcenTrace liquid trace minerals to my drinking water, along with a good sea salt or similar. I've got to get back to taking the Bioplasma, too. I keep forgetting it.

Not sure how good it is, but I feel better when I drink Glaceau Smart Water. It is water with added electrolytes. No sugar or flavor.

I drink Vitamin Water a lot to, which is flavored with electrolytes. Not as sweet as gatorade, but still sweet. Not recommended if you are on a yeast prevention diet.

I've been using a bottle of water with Himalayan salt (a bit, until I feel the taste salty). It was recommended by the local institute from dr. K.

Hi,

I just picked up a new Electrolyte powdered mix at the Whole Foods health food store. I haven't tried it yet.

It's called Ultima Replenisher. There's no sugar, they use stevia to sweeten it. It's gluten-free which is a must for me. It's vitamins and electrolytes.

Years ago when I was very ill, an acupuncturist got me started on the Cell Salts and that was helpful. I've also read other good reviews of Selectrolytes by Lyme patients.

I find the cell salts very helpful too. I use them all the time. I think it is important to have all 12 bottles of the different minerals around at all times and to have a reference book on hand about them too. They really seem to help me with many muscle problems, headaches, digestive problems, moods you name it.

It is good to study each one because they all do so much more then is stated on the label.

I like the book Nature's 12 Magic Healers. There is a chapter on each cell salt and how it can help you.

Mag phos and calcium phos both really help me with muscle problems.

I think anyone who has babs and LD needs to have mag phos and ferrum phos around for magnesium for LD and iron for babs.
