I have posted an inquiry about this drug in past but no one had specifically heard of anyone on this treatment. Just putting it out there one more time before Friday to see if anyone has any direct knowledge. I have had lyme for 15+ years. I have a great LLMD who has had patients similar to me have success on this drug but I just would like to hear from someone with first hand experience with.. herx/success/whatever on this drug. I've tried everything else. I'd appreciate any help. I have severe nuero lyme/severe SPECT scan/ the works/.

Carol - thank you so much for your help. It was so kind of you to do the search for me. I was happy to find any words from anyone who had tried Merrem IV(meropenem). I didn't know it was restricted to ID docs. My LLMD is also ID - and he is great believe it or not. Tomorrow I get new PICC and start treatment. I hope to be telling my success story in the near future. Thanks again!

How are you doing on the IV merrem? This was recommended to me as well. Hope you are feeling better.
