The liver is most important in the toxin elimination process. Here most elimination products are expelled with the bile into the small intestine and should leave the body via the digestive tract.
However, because of the lipophilic/neurotropic nature of the neurotoxins, most are reabsorbed by the abundant nerve endings of the enteric nervous system (ENS) in the intestinal wall. The ENS has more neurons than the spinal chord. Posted by oxygenbabe (Member # 5831) on :
I think that's why scientology suggests niacin (increase circulation) and certain oils (absorb the toxins) along with sauna. I think they're smart about that (even if their beliefs are odd)
Posted by shoney (Member # 9925) on :
so what do we do to get them out?
Posted by sixgoofykids (Member # 11141) on :
I think that's why my LLMD has me taking Questran ... it absorbs bile, but cannot be absorbed itself.

I am afraid, Oxygenbabe, the niacin will not do in this case. Also not increased circulation. That would really recirculate the neurotoxins again and possible make you feel worse.
It's the mop-up agents I have posted about often: Chlorella, either pyrenoidosa or vulgaris. It is a perfect and complete nutrient in addition to being an absorber in the gut to carry the toxins out in the stool.
Pectin which can be mixed into the morning veggie-fruit mush that I make every morning in a little blender.
Chitosan - if you are compatible with crustaceans.
Activated Charcoal - only short term - a few days.
Ground-up flax seed.
Destroxin - my favorite. Anything with zeolite.
I use an inexpensive Chi machine - great fun to move the lymphatics and to slim down waist.
Sporopollein is as effective as cholestyramin in binding neurotoxins and more effective in binding toxic metals than any other substance found.
An inexpensive Chi machine and Air Energy - we use these on an ongoing basis for detox support and pH balancing, etc. We do these a few minutes every day.
www.neuraltherapy.com - read some of the articles explaining the various agents of benefit.
Rest assured, unless you use some of these mop-up agents, the toxins are staying with you and going back to where they were or settling elsewhere. If you start to vibrate ever so slightly in the early morning hours, increase your mop-ups. Using detox agents and antibiotics without any mop-ups assures that you are going to meet the toxins again somewhere else - inside your body!
Take care.

The scientologists have had some amazing results with 9/11 rescue workers who were horribly ill from toxins and on multiple medications. Some are off all their medications now, others reduced them. They literally say black gunk came out of their pores.
The oils have to be added in when you mobilize the toxins. Ayurveda takes this approach also I believe. Toxins are lipophilic so fats are a good approach.
What is Sporopollein?
Allergy Research has a new nano chitosan I'd like to try.

Gigi,
What is the best way to avoid mold toxins in the first place? If you are around mold, will you continue to stay sick with mold toxins?
Posted by GiGi (Member # 259) on :
I do believe that black gunk!
Sporopollein --- Is, according to Dr. K., the holy grail of detox. Sporopollein is a protein component in chlorella that is composed of many, many metallothionines that are very specific for the different toxic metals that exist on the earth.
It is inside the different cell organelles in chlorella, and you need to have good digestion to get this or you need to add a good enzyme mix to get to that.
By the way, chlorella also contains a significant amount of lipids, 12%. If you take a handful of chlorella, you get a good amount of lipids with it. It is alpha and gamma linoleic acid mostly, but there is also some omega 3 fatty acids in it.
The Chlorella Growth Factor is another Holy grail. I remember when some years ago some scientist pulled out the Chlorella Growth Factor - it is done by heating up chlorella to about 60C an letting sweat, and it oozes out of the cells. The cell membranes rupture, and it oozes out the protein content, and then is separated in a centrifuge into the different proteins. CGF is a pure protein. It is liquid in its natural state and tastes like chicken broth. It is full of the different metallothionines, sporopollein, and is rich in all the detox substances.
Chlorella has 22 different mechanisms of detoxing, and the cell wall is one of the 22. The one function that's mostly published is the absorptive capability in the gut where it is absorbing and supposedly excreted. The 21 other mechanisms are after it is absorbed - when it is doing its thing to the brain cells, connective tissue, etc. There are all these mechanisms by the Sporopollein and metallothionines, and the chlorophyll itself. They are all detox functions that only happen after it is absorbed. So it's superb nutrient and the other 21 detox mechanisms.
Take care.
P.S. The Chlorella Growth Factor has been tested and compared on various groups of 20 children in Japan. I won't go into detail - - the group that took the Chlorella Growth Factor, one group Japanese regular food, one group chlorella. Result: The CGF group had no cavities, the food group had 8, and the chlorella group had 2.
Then they took photos of the children and noticed that the CGF children had the optimum, maximum facial developments possible (which we perceive as beautiful). Beautiful dental arches, like the pictures that Weston Price took in the early 1920's in tribal areas.
I sort of did my own test - not knowing: my granddaughter, from day one, always went after my little chlorella dish sitting around, and took whenever she wanted one. She has a beautiful face and beautiful teeth!

Why short term on the charcoal? That is one of the things Dr C really stresses as very beneficial.
Posted by oxygenbabe (Member # 5831) on :
Gigi, that's a good point about chlorella (fatty acids) I hadn't thought about, nonetheless I suspect during times one is mobilizing toxins, good oils would help too.
Can I buy just the sporopollein (sp?) or it is in the chlorella. Unfortunately for me and I'm not sure why but that biopure chlorella, or what ARG calls King chlorella (same source), yes, it made me much happier and more energetic, but my body seems very sensitive to any precursors of hormones, and it spiked my hormones. It may be the fatty acids who knows. I for instance cannot tolerate flax, soy, etc , because of the precursors to hormones. So I reluctantly gave up the chlorella. However this one component sounds very interesting.
Maybe someday I will be able to take the chlorella but not right now.

Boomerang, it is recommended (even on the insert in the package of my charcoal tablets from Merck which I purchased in Germany) that it may interfer with the efficacy of medications and minerals. I do believe it also absorbs selenium and some others.
If I find my list, I will post it.
Oxygen, I used liquid chlorella as Chloralyte and the Chlorella Growth Factor (liquid) is available from Biopure and probably others (I don't know).
You might read up on LED. It touches very much on what seems to happen with you.
Take care.

MissExtreme, mold is a problem for many. I have posted several times about it and copied info how to deal with mold from a Klinghardt seminar.
Please do a search here and you will find quite a bit of good information.
Take care.

GiGi,
Very interesting about the sporopollein.
How do I know if I'm breaking down the chlorella properly?
I hate to add another supplement, but what enzyme do you recommend to take with the chlorella?
Susan

Oh okay, yeah, I knew that about charcoal. Hubby takes it late at night before going to bed. That's what Dr. C's office recommended.
