Hi all. I have a question.

The other day I took my son with Down's/autism to the eye doctor and as he crossed his legs in the chair I noticed a very large, round growth sticking out on the side of his left knee. It felt like a boney protrusion.

I checked the right knee and there wasn't one there.

My son has never been diagnosed with Lyme but he does have autism and had at least two tick bites when we lived in Maryland.

Has anyone ever experienced a bony growth with Lyme? Can you tell me about it? Thank you so much!

Hi,
I have never had confirmation that my bony growths are from Lyme, but that is when they started.

The top of my left shoulder bone is enlarged, and so are the outer bones of both of my wrists ,and the two knobs on each of my elbow bones.

My doctors are clueless and just shrug it off.

klutzo, thanks for your response. I think I will bring this up with my Lyme doc next time I see her. I feel worried my little guy is infected.

Just found this topic.
I too have bone growths on the tops of both knees.

It has to be lyme related.
