Has anyone here had their house exterminated and suffered from it? We have found several very large spiders in our house and we usually have none. I refuse to share my house with anything that has more than four legs per head.
Are there risks associated with getting your house exterminated? I assume there are, but I would love to have some solid information. I am currently doing treatment with mepron for babesia and am improving. I don't want to jepordize this.
Any advice is appreciated.

I have multiple chemical sensitivities which I believe comes from exposure to too many toxins.
I don't personally have a problem with spiders, but I believe there are probably safer alternatives to keeping your home pest-free.
But I look at it this way - spiders eat other bugs, like mosquitos. So why upset the balance?

we've had our house srpayed for bugs since we had huge CARPENTER ants one year.
i do smell the stuff; this year i won't let them spray in both bedrooms and bathroom; just other rooms, basement, and outside windows and by red brick well.
i haven't been hurt by it.

Exterminator sprayed relatives house while we were out one day. we came back and it triggered a severe asthmatic event. I couldn't breathe and needed emergency care. Horrible! Awful! Better safe than sorry. Get something non-toxic to get rid of spiders. Maybe you need a Gekko or some other lizard--check with a pet store.
Don't chance it. You don't know how you will react. It could be devastating.

Our neighbors, then healthy, about 5 years ago, had their house done because of some flees the dog had brought in.
Father died first, then one dog who was then replaced by another dog, then the daughter who stayed there frequently, died; then the second dog died, and then recently - Mother was moved to a home to be taken care of with severe Alzheimers. The house was sold.
