Has anyone had hoarseness for a months, that won't go away, get on abx and it got worse?

Could be a herx. I used to be hoarse all the time it seemed. Now that I've been successfully treated... no more hoarseness!
During treatment, the hoarseness would get worse when I would herx.
Let your LLMD know about it. Hopefully, it will go away soon!

I do get waves of hoaseness. It comes and goes. I dont really notice a pattern. I also get a lot
of sore throats, that can be with or without the hoarseness.

Yes, hang in there, it gets better with treatment.

Yes, I get the hoarsness and mild sore throats. They come and go and seem to get worse sometimes if I've been talking a lot.
Do you feel like your vocal cords are just tired or strained sometimes too?

yes, they feel strained. it was mild before the abx, but it's bad on the abx, cracky. I'm nervous about loosing my voice, as i went thru the ALS scare. I had a biopsy ruled it out, but it's hard to get if off your mind, with loosing muscle, weight, being hoarse, etc.
My ears are rining even worse than ever. Left arm is weak and jaw.
I think this is a herx.
My llmd said he'sa bout 99% sure i have lyme, even with the first WB borderline and the second pretty negative, but positive ELISA?? that's something.

I was so hoarse, I developed a vocal chord polyp, and my voice will never be the same again.
They had put me on steroids during an attack, of all things.
