I just saw this on Bryan Rosner's blog...crazy!!

----

Do you believe, or has a doctor mistakenly told you, that Lyme Disease is a rare illness that does not affect many people? If so - think again! Not only is Lyme Disease the fastest spreading infectious disease in the country, with more than 200,000 new cases per year, it is also a disease which knows no limits when it comes to infecting people in high places.

Among the famous or important people affected by Lyme Disease are Amy Tan, author of the Joy Luck Club novel series, Wyatt Sexton, Florida State University (FSU) quarterback, Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and, recently publicized, President Bush himself.

USA Today, in an August 8, 2007 article, announced that President Bush underwent Lyme Disease treatment last year. To read the article, visit:

Although no one would wish Lyme Disease on their worst enemy, it is notably helpful to have people in high places afflicted with Lyme Disease, because it opens the door to wider recognition of Lyme Disease as a widespread problem, which leads to more research and better treatments.
