Anyone taking these and for what-bart, or lyme? I'm taking them for bart/babs/lyme, but I think my babs is getting worse. I've been on them 3 months, was doing well, now feeling more tired, dizzy and nauseous. My herx's use to last 3-4 days, I've been feeling crappy for 2 weeks now....

Wondering what else it could be. Have to stay on this med for at least 4 months

I ENVY YOU!*)!*)!*)!

BACTRIM has sent a few chronics I know into full remission- it is a hardcore herx drug but I WISH I could try it- but I am violently VIOLENTLY allergic to sulfa drugs- but boy I envy you!!!

You may be on the brink of remission- or at least a lot less symptoms- Bactrim is the #1 drug I wish I could try but can't!!!!!!!!!

I'm one of those success stories...

Bactrim didn't make me herx though, oddly it was just immediate and dramatic improvement.

I did herx when I added biaxin then artemesinin though, it was just quick but painful joint and muscle stuff. Ow!

If you do a search using the word Bactrim and my member # (25) you'll come up with a lot of reading material on the subject.

Sarah...Is lorie still well?? (another bactrim success way back when, for those of you who weren't here)

Charlie-thanks for the info-I looked up your old threads. I've been taking bactrim 2x/day and zith every other day and art for 14 weeks-the last 2 I've been feeling bad-maybe it's a long slow herx.

Buckfever-I know malarone and bactrim are very effective for babs-my Dr felt at this point, didn't need the malarone (did I month of mepron, 1 moth of malarone)

Septra was another great drug for me. I found that this med worked better than levaquin in regards to combating bart.

It also increases the effectiveness of mepron, hitting the babs even harder.
