Would someone please explain to me what anxiety feel like.
I get real restless and don't know what to do with myself at times. Is that anxiety?

For me anxiety feels sort of like restless. I would not be able to relax, I would feel like I wasn't safe or something bad was going to happen. So I did certain rituals that would help to calm me down. (Like OCD)
I also had more severe anxiety which was more like paranoia so it went to different extremes for me.

I think restlessness is a good way to describe
anxiety. I also would have panic attacks. My
chest would feel heavy. I would just do some
deep breathing and it would pass.
Sometimes, I would have that feeling of doom.
They would last for at least 6 hours. I would
then escape into a book. (generally romance
novels because they don't require much of a brain
and they were fun to me). I would also remind
myself, that this feeling would pass and I'd be
better tomorrow. Have you noticed a pattern of
when you have anxiety? For me it was always when
I was herxing.

Yes, my anxiety is always worse when I am herxing and EVERYTHING makes me cry when I herx.

For me an anxiety attack happens ..on occasions...when I've had to drive a long way in heavy traffic, at risk of being late, and to an important appointment like a doctor or medical test. It feels like a heart attack. My left arm goes numb, and there is an INTENSE feeling that something very bad is about to happen. I had my heart tested right after one episode and they said my heart was OK. I've also had a similar event after drinking that last cup of Starbucks I ever had. After I first lost my job I had anxiety bacause I had reason for anxiety. I remember getting lost in a TV show and for a brief while I wasn't anxious. It's hard not to worry when the Boogieman is real.

my experience is anxiety is like nervousness...anxious, like anticpating something but to the 100th degree...
when i get anxiety i am restless but more than restless...i could literally pace the floors and wear a path in it. all the while i am shakey inside and out but not too extremely.
i get increased heart rythm, shaky, sometimes sweaty, heavy chest pressure, hard to breath with a panic attack and i want to pull my hair out or simply just scream at the top of my lungs - which i have been known to do.
