For those that see Dr. F in Louisiana, do you know which Igenex test he prefers to use?

Geneal sees him. See her reply again....as well as mine on your other thread.

He ordered the testing of my husband and two small children.

Tests number 188 and 189 respectively.

Hugs,

Geneal

What if you have late stage lyme? Do you think those tests (188 and 189) are as effective at finding it???

Three of us in my family from South Carolina all have had Lyme for 20 or more years. We all test positive on IgeneX - both the western blots and the urine antigen tests.

Personally I would get the IgG and IgM western blots. Then get the urine antigen test with five days of an antibiotic you have responded to in the past. On days 4,5, and 6 you collect urine in a cup. (Igenex will send you the test kit) BE SURE TO ORDER THE REVERSE WESTERN BLOT ON ANY POSITIVE URINE SAMPLE. If you get positives on both the blood test and the urine test you can bet the tick farm you have borrelia.

Thank you for all the responses. I don't know what to but call Dr. F's office and see what they say. I guess I'll cancel my appt with my neuro tomorrow until I have a better idea of what I should be doing. In the meantime, I've ordered the Igenex 188 and 189 test kit, and I already have the urine DOT BLOT kit, so I'm prepared either way.
