Anyone out there with experience with the neuro Dr. B in NYC who works with the Columbia Lyme Research Studies headed by Dr. Fallon?

I saw Dr B at Columbia a couple of years ago. She is in the Lyme Disease Research Center with Dr F & using the SPECT Scan as well. Based on my SPECT Scan, she diagnosed borreliosis, which helped me a lot because I was bitten by a lonestar tick and there is no test for Borrelia Lonestari. Her diagnosis persuaded a university internist in my own state to help me with IV Rocephin, though he would not have without the Columbia endorsement.
I actually called 2 weeks to make a follow-up appointment with Dr B for December, since I've had a bad relapse. I'm wondering whether it's worth doing so, though, after reading Borreliabrain's thread about his recent appointment with Dr F. Does anyone know if what Dr F said to Borreliabrain reflects a new position of all the docs at the Lyme Disease Research Center?

I was seeing THE Dr. B, and I have been seeing Dr. B..... at Columbia. A female neuro. I know I can't use the Dr's full name, but other that that I do not know the protocols for this venue. I have information I would like to relate to you about this doctor, if it is the same doc you are planning to see. yes. I have had experience with her. Dr. B the neuro at Columbia. I was not at all impressed. We were her first morning appt. and she was an hour late arriving. Told me if I gained 10 pds all my sympyoms would go away (kid you not) and then charged me $600.
I would never go back again.

I had a similar experience with her. I started having seizures and went to her from Florida. Has to be the same Dr B. Had a first morning appt... she was an hour and a half late and wasn't really interested in finding out what was going on with me...just wanted to put me on anti seizure med's and be done. I asked numerout times to get a copy of her med doc's / report of my visit etc...never rec'd anything. Then my LLMD requested the report...several times...never got anything!! Would also, never go back to her.

She is a LL neuro, not an LLMD. She is a good doc to see if you need a 2nd opinion or need to rule out a differential diagnosis. You can't go to her for treatment, she doesn't do that. She helped me and has helped many others get the ball rolling on getting treatment. You just need to know what to expect. I agree, do not go for an early AM appointment unless you like to sitting in a waiting room.
