I read in another post about swelling lymph nodes at base of neck/skull. I get this often,

espically with flares. Mine also itch. The left side gets rather large.

My chiroporactor found it several times and was very concerned about the size. By the time I would

get to my dr for an appt it would be back down again!

I also get sores in my scalp. They are not as bad as

they use to be. A few years ago they would encompass my entire scalp, now they just seem to

be centralized at the bottom of my skull line. But always have one at the swelling sight on my

left side. It always seems to be on my left. Most of my symptoms are on my left. I have

some on my right but stays left. Left arm, left chest, left shoulder, left neck, left jaw, left face, even my spasms are mostly on my left in my face, arm, leg, tingling in my left....occasionally on my right and I mean very occasionally! Mainly facial spasms will hit on my right every now and then.

Has anyone else experienced it mostly to one side?

As for the lymph nodes, I usually do moist heat. Is this the better thing to do or does

it inflame it more? I have never known what to do with this issue so wing it!!

I happen to have experienced some of this you mention. For me I started getting the little sores on the scalp and swollen lymph node in the same area you mentioned. After going to the doc and doing much research I have found that the sores on the scalp are sometimes enough of an infection enlarge the lymph in the lymph chain nearest them.

In other words the small scalp infection can be draining down into the lymph node, then after the infection starts to subside the lymph goes down. I hate this crazy symptom (and the rest of em).

As far as the one sided stuff, mine has almost always been left side only. From head to toe. Just recently I have gotten 1 or 2 on the right.

And I have been told by several docs that moist heat is the best for the lymphs. Hang in there my friend.

I hope every single one of us is healed very soon.

I get manual lymph drainage therapy from a massage therapist, and it helps immensely. I also get fatigue from the toxin overload the day after I get them drained.

I have that same swollen gland on the left side and the sores...like cystic acne, in my scalp. It's no fun at all.

I have no answers as this began in the last few months. My LLMD kind of threw up his hands and suggested candida...doesn't make sense to me...I've done a 30 day course of diflucan with no change.

If anyone comes up with an explanation or a treatment, by all means, post here please!

I get huge swollen glands over & over since getitng sick- twice I've had breast ultrasounds because the lymph nodes in my armpits were so swollen they thought I might have cancer- but nope! When I first got sick they were visibly swollen & doc said, "I've never seen them so swollen except in people with cancer or end stage AIDS."

!!
Swollen lymphs are associated with BArtonella in particular.

Thanks Sarah,

That's the third time someone has mentioned bartonella to me...It's time to ask for tx and testing...even though it may not show on testing. I haven't been tested for bart in over five years...

Thank you,
Carol Ann

I had/have these sores on scalp and swollen nodes at base of skull. They are parasites and worms. Pretty awful thought, but true. When I started on the salt/c (sea salt) protocol they started to come out.

If you go to www.lymephotos.com he explains how Burgdorfer found filarial worms in the ticks. This guy is right on the money. He talks about the lymph nodes at the base of the skull, and that they are breeding these things.

People with Lyme are LOADED with parasites and worms. I have had this stuff pouring out of me for over 1 year, and a lot of other people are experiencing the same thing.

I don't think our Lyme Disease is any different than yours. Hope this helps in your search to get rid of this horrific disease.

I had swollen and painful nodes up and down my entire neck and it was pretty much constant for a year or so. I believe this was being caused by my Bartonella, I tested positive for it.

When I began treatment, it initially become worse, but at about the four month mark it gradually started to subside, and now I only experience any swelling or pain very occassionally, and is usually very brief lasting only an hour or two.

Hi, Thanks for post.

Besides lost balance.
The nodes at night sometimes I can actually feel raising even larger from time to time usually it wakes me. I can put my hand over, since really does itch. My friend even noticed behind ear.

Interesting if parasite, comes & goes like my Good days used to be.
None of those anymore.

All these yrs. wondered what heck was.

Closest was to Lupus. On Lupus site, explained in detail. I always have elevated ANA.
Yet, never felt this was on lupus end.

Sorry not whole lot help. [group hug]

Look into swedish massage to help clear up your lymph system which in turn will help your healing.
