My llmd put me on 500 mg. tindimax twice daily for 4 days, then off for 4 days for 4-6 weeks.

I am also on oral zithromax 500 mg. daily and do IV rocephin 2 g. I had a bad experience with

flagyl 3 years ago and have not been on a cystbuster since. How many mgs. has anyone been

on tindimax and for how long?

Thanks in advance.

I took the same dosage as you for 2 weeks straight with no break in between.

I generally felt awful during the two weeks with fatigue, pains, etc. Apart from the normal flare up of lyme symptoms I generally tollerated the drug OK though, not as bad as I expected and I didn't need to take any breaks or lower the dosage.

I wish my LLMD kept me on it, because I am sure it would of done some good in the long run, but he took me off it after 2 weeks and put me on a different regime!

My LLMD has me on Tindamax 500mg bid 2 days/week.

I have only been able to tolerate every other week due to feeling horrible - nausea and increase of symptoms.

I will try to do it every week from here on out...we will see.

I herxed terriably on tindamax. I was taking it 500 mg twice daily for two weeks on and one week off. I did handle it better then flagyl thoguh. I am on that now and it is jsut awful. It also made me very nasous even when I ate beforehand. I hope you have better luck on it! Maybe start out taking half a pill and see how you feel.

Good luck,
Lindsay

I just finished a month of tindamax (500 mgs twice daily). I was off it a week due to the fact that I couldn't stop vomiting. But now I'm back on it and no vomiting so far, only a little nausea. I am on it 7 days per week.

Yeah it is unpleasant for sure! Actually scary lately. I have been having huge mood issues (anger, bad depression, anxiety, panic feelings, feeling like I am "losing my mind", irritability). My main issues have primarily psychiatric (bipolar disorder, anxiety). I have also on Tindamax had periods of feeling toxic, exhausted, very irregular heart beat and generally feeling miserable. It's been a long 5 weeks on this stuff!

I'm not sure how long my doctor plans to keep me on it.

was on 500mg. three times a day...no pulsing. Did it for 3 months with tetra 3X and had biaxan 2xday

My llmd gives dosages that are high enough to cross blood brain barrier. My spirochetes are having a party up there.

Honestly I don't remember how long I was on Tindamax ...500mg 2x daily, though. I'm sure I was one Zithromax at the time. Eventually my doc switched me to Alinia.

I didn't have any horrible side effects that I can recall...

dmc,

you were on tindamax for 3 months straight? i can't imagine how horrible that must've been. but you're saying it didn't cause any issues? my doctor says he doesn't use it longer than 6 weeks at a time.

I was on 500mg/day Tindamax fromm February to early August; no major herxes. Only side effect I noticed was a slight metallic taste in my mouth. In conjunction with Cefzil and Benicar (plus Vit-D3 supplements), it seems to have worked very well indeed.

I couldn't tolerate Flaygl for more than 2 weeks due to serious tingling in arms and legs, with dizziness.

Off abx for 7 weeks now, no recurrence of symptoms so far. I can only hope we got the suckers dead. [Smile]

Back in '99 it was dosed by weight and I endured 6 months of 2 grams a day of the stuff.

It's a wonder I'm here...that wasn't a herx the stuff is just flat out toxic.

Several of us did it at the same time...It may have helped but I think it was the sickest I've ever been and those chills were awful. This may explain when I'm a bit impatient with somebody who takes 100 mg of doxy and claims to 'herx' immediately.

I'm getting chills just thinking about the stuff...and the taste makes biaxin seem like candy.
