Has anyone on this board taken amoxy with zithro???
I have a friend who is having a relapse, only treating her babesia with zithro and mepron but would like to treat her lyme (just recieved a cdc positive test) but doc is unwilling to treat the lyme to.
This is a lymie who went through hell to recover and relapsed after getting well.
She is on the waiting list to see another LLMD but does not want to relapse any further.
Anybody have info on taking these two together???

If I'm not mistaken...I think I took those two together. Yes, quite certain. Had no problems. But, I'm not a doc!

I take Mepron/Biaxin and Amoxy together. You might ask a pharmacist about interactions just to be sure.

I took large doses of Amoxy (two 875 mg. tabs 3xday) along with Zithro (500 mg. daily) with no problem. That was in addition to several other meds & supplements.
Since my LLMD had me on these 2 together, apparently there are no adverse drug interactions.
