I am being treated for Bab's, Erhlilicosis, and Lyme now for about 4 weeks. I have good days and then have really bad ones. Been on Mepron, Doxy still, and also Ceftin. This past week I have felt horrible I can't sleep and the pain in my calves and knees is horrendous. Going back to LD next week for blood work and he will let me know if I can go back to work on the 24th.Should'nt I wait to see results before returning to work? What if I go back and seem fine and then CRASH ? How do you know if your disease free? REally need some kind of input.

Don't go off antibiotics if you still have symptoms.
It can take a long, long time to get better and some people stay chronic for life. BUT everyone I know who has done antibiotic therapy has done well longterm if not full remission!!!
I am 99.9% and take maintenance abx but I know people who were sick for years and years who are completely well-
Just don't get sidetracked and stay on abx- if your doc tries to take you off find a LLMD- a Lyme doc!!!

I'm at 99+% as well after 8 months of combination abx therapy; I have some lingering gut inflammation that we're dealing with, but my LLMD thinks I'm pretty much done with the Lymes. 6 weeks without abx now, still no recurrence of symptoms.

Sharon, How long ago was your bite??
I agree with Sarah that you should not stop the abx until you have been symptom free for at least 2 months! You don't want an relapse!!
If you were bitten recently, it may not take long to clear the Lyme.....but if it's been months....you'll likely be in treatment for awhile.
Some are able to work while going thru treatment....some aren't able to get out of bed.
