My blot test came back negative according to CDC guidelines But what was abnormal was that the Ab screen was 2.70 H(whats this Mean?) IgG present p. 18,23,41 and IgM p23.Still possible to have Lymes? So many symptoms to list. Also, the pain gets so bad I've been on Percocets(anyone else have to take painkillers?) Took Ceftin for 30 days in May(no Response). Then Doxycycline since Aug. 28th - present. No response.

Took Ceftin for 30 days in May(no Response). Then Doxycycline since Aug. 28th - present. No response. How many mg of Doxy??
Read this link all the way through.....Band 23 is SPECIFIC for Lyme....
"The significant antibodies, in my opinion, are the 18, 23-25, 28, 30, 31, 34, 39, 58, 66 and 93." (Dr C of MO)
PS....YES, YOU COULD STILL HAVE LYME!!! Posted by Geneal (Member # 10375) on :
Don't sweat the CDC guidelines. That is only for purposes of epidiological tracking.
I only had IgM band 23 come back positive (Quest) and was diagnosed with Lyme
Based on that and my multitude of symptoms.
We were just discussion the presence of many bands vs. few bands a couple of days ago.
Often, the person with the one or two bands present can be the sicker person
Than one with many bands. The presence of bands are the bodies posting an immune response to Lyme.
At least that is what my LLMD told me.
Find yourself a LLMD. Band 23 is specific to Bb.

With symptoms and Lyme specific bands you very likely have Lyme.
How much doxy are you taking? If you're not seeing an LLMD (Lyme literate MD), it's very likely not enough to be effective. It should be somewhere around 200 mg. twice daily.
You also need to be tested for coinfections.
If you don't have an LLMD, please post on seeking doctors so someone can send you the name of one.
