I was thinking about the power of prayer and positive intentions. It has been studied and proven in many cases that people who are prayed for do better when recovering from an illness.
So I was thinking, those of us temporarily challenged with Lyme should establish a world wide prayer time (daily) in which we can all call on GOD for help in dealing with this condition and to bring an end to our suffering.
The positive energy of prayer is very POWERFUL. If you don't believe this kind of massive prayer to GOD can help, that is totally alright ... maybe you can just offer a positive thought up to all Lymies in need (or just sit it out, no one will know).
I really don't know exactly what possesed me to post this but I guess it doesn't really matter.
So what do you all in the U.S. think would be a good time ? Of course we should consider all the various time zones. Maybe the U.S. could have one common time (adjusting for the time zones) and the rest of you all (Europe etc) could figure out a seperate "good time".
... and NO I am not crazy just VERY, VERY hopeful that this will work in some way, shape or form !
Also, I am sorry for posting this under Med questions, but I know this is the most popular destination.

Yes, I think there is something to this, too. Count me in if anyone should chose a time and day.
Oh yes... I am doubtful that this will cure anything outright, but I think that the energy from it could be helpful.

I'm for it! I'm not good with time zone coordinating, but as long as it fits between5:30 AM and 11:00 PM Eastern, I can do it.

James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
Acts 3:1 [ Peter Heals the Crippled Beggar ] One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the Time of PRAYER --at THREE in the afternoon.
I wish I had thought of this idea. There is great power in prayer. I am in.

We've done this before. It's nice to be able to join hands and hearts.
You'll have to move it to Off Topic though.

Great and very loving idea. What time should we all pray? This is great, then you can feel the love and light coming from all directions. Yay!

Couldn't find topic on OT, so I'm replying here:

Can we continue this in General Support? I had never been to "Off Topic" before this! I don't think anyone will find us there. It is, after all, a support measure.

Thanks to everyone so far, but I do not want to "break the rules" so I will move it to "OFF TOPICS". Please tell people it's there.
Let's START TODAY at 6 p.m. west coast time 9 p.m. east coast. Adjust for anyone else in other time zones. There is nothing written in stone. No rules. Just put out good intentions.
LET'S DO IT : )

I just tried moving it via the small icon on the bottom of the page marked "move topic", but it said only administrators could use this function. Anyway, I'll leave this thread here until I can figure it out, or someone instruct me.
6 p.m. today and everyday : )

I don't know if any of you ever googled 'Fire The Grid', but there is a woman who actually established a website and had a bunch of people all over the world praying at once. I haven't checked her website out lately though.
I think this is a great idea. Tell us when!

A united moment of prayer sounds powerful.......and all things are possible thru Him/with Him.

i think this is a wonderful idea, and i think it can apply to people of all faiths/spiritual beliefs.
9 pm ET it is! Posted by Truthfinder (Member # 8512) on :
Hey, I like this - I'm in, too.
Yikes! It's almost time!
You know, this really isn't a ``discussion about religion''........
...but rather the establishment of a ``Spiritual Medicine Hour''.
Maybe this thread is in the right place after all.

So I have to delete it, then repost it ? Who is Jennifer ?
"Spiritual Medicine Hour" is a very cool way to look at it. Mass prayer has been known to be very effective. I hope this idea can flourish. I hope that by deleting it, it does not get "lost".
This idea isn't about religion or politics but about the power of mass intentions being put forth. I do inderstand those who are concerned about the topic.
How about this as a possible solution, if it does start getting "ugly" I will delete it. That would be the opposite of my intent anyway.

Missed it tonight, but I'll be tuned in tomorrow at 8pm central time!
Posted by lightwise (Member # 10661) on :
Please, let's do it everyday ... let's not let it fizzle out.
If one does not want to do it, just simply don't. No debate.
It's worth a try : )

I was 5 minutes late last night, but I have to tell you, it felt so good knowing that we were joined together and using our energy for the same purpose. It was spirit-lifting! I know it will take me time to get in the habit, so I am posting sticky notes in strategic locations to help me remember.
I hope the board will see this as a spiritual activity, not as a religious discussion, and allow it to remain on the boards until all who might wish to participate have had a chance to see it.

Lightwise, a suggestion: perhaps if you go back and edit your initial post and right at the beginning, ask people NOT to engage in any discussion of their faith or religion or beliefs on this thread perhaps Jenifer will allow this topic to stay in the Medical Questions forum.
Jenifer is the acting moderator of the LymeNet board. You can contact her at: [email protected]
So glad you suggested this!

Count me in. A double-blind study accepted by the AMA proved prayer works. In fact, a physican down the street asked me to pray for her daughter, who has cancer. Kate
