"Like gabapentin, pregabalin [Lyrica] binds to the 2 subunit of the voltage-dependent calcium channel in the central nervous system. However, the exact mechanism of action is unknown."
Also from Wiki:
"Voltage-gated sodium channels and calcium channels are made up of a single polypeptide with four homologous domains. Each domain contains 6 membrane spanning alpha helices. One of these helices, S4, is the voltage sensing helix. It has many positive charges such that a high positive charge outside the cell repels the helix - inducing a conformational change such that ions may flow through the channel."
Meaning it's a switch that opens and allows current flow when sufficient current is applied to the switch. Or at least that's what I read; please let me know if I am misreading this.
So, wherever there is a magnetic field that is applied to a wire, there is current, and vice-versa.
So, where there is emf (an electromagnetic field), there can potentially be current / voltage? Therefore, is it possible, that when we are exposed to EMF, that there is sufficient magnetism applied to these calcium channel voltage-gates (switches) that it is allowing signal flow down these channels whereas elsewise there would be no flow?
When I'm contemplating about magnetic fields and voltages in the brain, I'm considering tiny amounts. I suspect this is why EMF, which is a great deal larger, and only has to penetrate the skull, is effecting us.

That probably explains why I cannot tolerate any calcium, and even sodium can cause me problems lately. I'm extremely electromagnetically sensitive. I proved to myself today that I can sense an increase of only 0.5 milligauss. I wonder if it's the cell phone tower base stations?
I was looking at this website though. It's crazy. They expect me to sleep under a canopy and wear silver-lined underwear to protect myself? Like I said - it's crazy.
Why can't people just give up their cell phones? - or start smoking? If they don't, I think I'm going to start blowing my cigarette smoke in their faces - it's safer.
I'm tellin you - the honeybees are disappearing - not just from viruses, mites, or whatever - I know it's EMFs. But shouldn't the fact that it bothers humans be enough? I can feel them.

I was perscribed Lycra (low dose, high doses are used for alchoholism)for nerve pain...
Drugged me up SO bad, I had to stop taking it imidiatly. I was out of it, my friends were concerned. I felt horrid on it too, and had to stop after taking it only 3 days.
I have a weird sensitivity to any pharmasudicals that mess with brain chem. Low dose anti-depressants for nerve pain make me whig out. When they thougth my lyme/babs headaches were from Migranes they put me on all kinds of migrane meds (also used as anti-convulsants and ocd meds) and every time i took one i would be feeling REALLY weird, weather it was feeling out of it, or having weird anxiety.
I wonder if anyone else has this?

I was reading on one website that you can call your electric company if you suspecy high EMFs and ask them to come out and test them, and require a report.
I know the EMFs in my neighbor's house are even higher than mine are. Does anyone know if they are required to do this? My neighbor had a heart attack last year.
