I searched and found an old topic - does anyone have recent experiences? Any idea part of recovery helped?
Thank you! Robin

Hi, I had lots of hair loss this past year. Been sick for a year with babs for sure, possible lyme. It started really bad about 4 months into my illness. Once I started treatment (it took about 9 months to figure out what it was) 2 months later I started noticing regrowth (but my hair was still shedding)... Just in the last week the shedding has let up quite a bit, not falling out nearly as much. Knock on wood that it stays this way. I still have more regrowth and my hair looks like it's sticking up all the time! The hair loss thing is very stressful but I kept re-reading the posts here about it as part of the process and that it will regrow... which it seems is happening to me. So hang in there everyone was right so far!

I had lost a lot of hair. I'm 9 months into treatment and I just had to have 3 inches cut off because the newer growth was so much thicker than the older! About 2 more inches and I'll have all "good hair."
My hair is still below my shoulders, so the new stuff has been growing in for quite some time now.

Thank you Jmo & Six!
That's encouraging. Over the years, pre Lyme dx I had loss then regrowth, loss again and now lots of new growth. Thought I had done something to cause breakage but it is new hair - whoopie!
I'm trying to link what happened/changed. I wonder if it is mostly Babesia related. I seem to be getting those sx under control lately - fingers crossed.
My daughter (19) lost most of her very thick hair and it is starting to grow back. She tests pos for Babs and we 'know' Bb is there. She isn't a believer but has started vitamins and an antimicrobial supplement. Youth...
