My son has a script for Malarone but it seems like one pill a day is too much for him.
The pill has a coating. Does anybody know if Malarone can be cut in half or if it's a problem with the coating?

I am an adult and on one bitty pediatric pill of Malarone and trying to increase. The side effects in the beginning were very difficult for me. My LLMD suggests that I use my pill-splitter on another pill and increase my dose by 1/2 more.
I wouldn't think there is any harm in cutting back to 1/2 a pill for your son as he acclimates to it. Most important though, check with your doctor.
