Hi all...I had a W. blot done by a lab other than Igenex....only positives were IGG 41 and 58. Is it worth investigating for lyme further? 58 seems to be ranked higher or lower depending on who you ask...so not sure. Symptoms have been fatique, steady back ache all summer....occasional elbow/joint pain...occasional aches in the area of the heart (seem to be more annoying than meaningful). Hormones have been trending low too. Hormones may be the prob but want to make sure the hormone issues are not secondary to something like lyme as I've heard that this can happen....I'm 36, male, and have been exercising despite the symptoms...however the exercise does not seem to replenish my energy as it used too. My energy level dropped off the cliff in may and has been steadily low since....thanks for the input!!! Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :
I would. Your life and your lifestyle are at stake.
Any other guys have testosterone issues with Lyme?
I'm worried the Lyme is affecting my pituitary somehow....

Lyme disease can do anything it wants to us. Any organ is open season. I take growth hormone myself because Lyme damaged my pituitary.

I'd definitely look into it more.
I only had 41++ IGG. And it turns out I for sure have Bartonella, and probably Lyme and maybe some of the other co-infections.
I never gave up looking even though I thought with only 41 being positive maybe meant nothing. Sometimes it doesn't mean anything... but you never know. And you don't want to take that risk. Posted by Lemon2Lyme (Member # 13561) on :
Good info, Disturbed....thanks!
This is a rudimentary question...but how do they confirm bartonella?
I'll probably run a few more tests once I can track down a specialist, which shouldn't be hard in lyme-ridden connecticut here Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :
