After 2 months on Doxy/Levaquin and not much reaction my LLMD switched me to Doxy 600mg/Rifampin 900mg a week ago. For 4 days now I have had feet sole/heel pain through the roof..and some patches of nerve/muscle pain moving around my legs.
The sole pain was only a minor symptoms for me before. Calves used to give me the most pain. Now it seems most of my pain is in my soles and thighs.

I should mention that this pain is not affected by movement or how much weight I put on my feet. It is rather like a dull toothache in my soles.

Time to get back on notryptyline I guess...the worst is not knowing whether this is a progression/flare up or herx.

By the way...my LLMD says that my bart test is positive with an IGG of 1:40. Anyone knows?

It sounds like a herx to me. Especially if you haven't had it for awhile and then it starts all of a sudden after starting more aggressive treatment.

I don't know about that Bart test, as I had mine done by blood smear.

Most probably your tendons have been damaged by the levaquin. It is an extremely common outcome of long treatments, and specially high doses, that I do not know if you have taken.

In many cases those injuries last several years before they heal on their own.

You might want to have a look at these two non-commercial sites:

www.fluoroquinolones.org
www.fqresearch.org

Hope your case is a mild one and that you recover soon.

Hmm...possible, hope it's not that.
None of the symptoms are new, just more intense.
There isn't any localized pain around the joints that would point to tendons though.
