my sister tried this. she is well over 300 pounds and really needs to loose weight. because of a heart condition, she can't have the stomach stapling or weight loss surgeries.
it gave her uncontrollable diahrrea. her bowels would just let loose at any time. very, very embarassing.
she stopped it.

I looked at this when I was waiting in line for my prescriptions at the pharmacy...they had a big display there.
One of the first warnings was about anal leakage...yikes! It appears to work by blocking the absorbtion of fat in the body... who knows what else it blocks? Sounded scary to me.
The best way to lose weight with this disease, per my LLNP, is to get the lyme and coinfections under control. Then, and only then, can the body normalise in terms of weight.
In my experience, this is absolutely true.

Does it come with a cork?
I think the only thing that will ever work for me is to have my mouth stapled. Then I would probably find a way to still get some chocolate inside. lymemomtooo

I love the idea of a cork! I am not trying this, just wondering what experiences people had.

It's purpose it to help regulate the amount of fat you ingest. So a lot of its success depends on the type of diet you have. If it's a diet high in fat, it might do some good.
But the side effects can be pretty severe.
I'm also not a doctor.

this is an extremely dangerous drug that should never have gotten past the fda. alli is a non prescription dose of xenical.it must be used under doctor supervision with blood tests and a very very low fat diet.
