I will have a specific symptom and then they just go away=
an example is that last week I had severe back pain. The kind that when you move you can't help but yell out in pain.
Then I get worried that there has to be something very wrong and I said I will go to the doctor.
I wake up in the morning and the back pain is GONE!
I mean it is good that it is gone but how can a symptom be so bad then disappear, even if only temporary?
Some of the pain I feel is so very bad, then the next day it is gone.
Another example is that my Lymphnodes were so painful and swollen I thought some were going to bust through my skin!
I said to myself I am going to the doctor and the next thing I know my nodes are going down!
So confusing and frustrating!

I actually know about this and have had alot of the same trouble. The lympe nodes are very common. I now know where all my lympnodes are at some of which I didn't no I had. One day the ones in my neck will be sore and swollen. Then in next day or three the'll be down and the ones in my groin will be up. I have an RN friend who I call ALL the time who tells me this is the diease going thru your system. But watch it because usually when this happens to me some kind of weird infection pops out on me. The muscle aches and pains come and go with me also. Lately tho I have been having a hard time waking up in the morning due to my muscles tightening up so bad a night I called the doc and he put me on an anti inflamatory which helps a little. I can at least get out of bed.

This is exactly why doctors think there is nothing wrong with us. if the symptoms are transient, then they are not a problem.
but when you have severe symptoms severl times a day, it can disrupt your life.

Melissa,
That is how it was for me in the beginning and then each symptom began to stay for longer and longer and then they each stayed and didn't leave, and then more came and on and on.
Yup, it sucks!!! But you can get better!!
Sincerely, Sarah O.

I know what you mean.
Sometimes I have such terrible, terrible days. Then the next day I'll feel at least functional. Or sometimes I'll feel terrible for weeks and then feel better. But the one time I felt soooooo bad one day and then the next day I was sure I'd feel just as bad, but I woke up and the entire day I felt pretty good.
Just so strange how this disease works...

like Cave said...waxing & wanning...it's a real roller coaster ~ brutal at times . It can be hard to plan anything.
I have learned to appreciate & "live for" my good days.
Still have some bad days, but I know they will pass in time and the good days will be back soon.
