Have you heard of any doctors saying that if your sedimentation rate is low, then you have been cured of lyme?

Don't know about that--my guess would be that LLMD's wouldn't.
Generally, if you still have symptoms, then you still have Lyme. There is no "post-Lyme syndrome"
My sed rate was perfectly normal, and I'm most definitely sick.

My sed rate was only 3 at my sickest. I'm still sick and it's now only a 4.
It's basically a marker of inflammation. May be an indicator for someone with much joint involvement? I've been primarily neurological.

My SED rate has been normal throughout my 6 month sof illness. My CRP is through the roof. It is also a marker of inflammation.
I still feel pretty bad with joint pain, fever, and neuro stuff to name a few.
I don't think a low SED rate means you are cured, but thats just my opinion.
Maybe ask for the CRP test instead.

my sed rate was high, so was my white blood count and platelets for many years. as time went on these tests went low, but i actually felt worse.
i think my immune system just quit trying.

Actually, I thought a really low sed rate was due to hypercoagulation and not a good thing.
Mine was 4 and I thought I understood that was too low. CRP was good.
I do have joint pain and fluid in my knees now and then.
So I'm confused about this.

I don't know the answer.
My SED rate has fluxuated between 42 and 109 during the last 5 months of illness.
It is currently (2 weeks ago) at 65 and I am joint pain free (at the moment). Go figure!
CRP has been as high as 35 and as low as normal.
Even my LLMD said it didn't make much sense.

Mine was 3 at my sickest. And yes, I have heard that about hypercoagulation...which I have.

Wouldn't it be nice if there were a test for cure?
There once was a test called Bowen Q-RIBb for borrelia which detected the bacteria directly vs. your reaction to the bacteria as all these other tests do (antibody tests, inflammation markers, etc.). Unfortunately the Bowen test is no longer available.
You might be interested in knowing that the Marshall Protocol is the only treatment for Lyme that I've read about that has resulted in positive Bowen tests going negative.
