I was desperately thinking.......could I add a touch of animal tick shampoo to my own routine?
Scrubbing after each outside adventure in the shower, hopefully dislodges anything that got through my other defenses.
I searched the forum and found some info on pine tar and looked up some pine tar shampoos. I didn't find products that specifically mentioned ticks.
Also found Mycodex shampoo for cats & dogs but no discussion in the forum for use on people.
I've been spraying my clothing with the Repel product Permanone(?) and my skin with their plant based product w/ lemon & eucalyptus. I also have Avon's products - don't know that any are fool proof. Started to look at Neem - ? No DEET - already have plenty of neuro toxins...
It was tough to get over my fear of crossing the lawn to get the mail. I am finally more active outside - riding horses, gardening, dogs, etc.
Any ideas or experiences?
Thanks!

What about taking garlic pills???
Ticks HATE garlic!!
The Swedish Army uses garlic as a tick deterrent and it is VERY healthy for you AND fights Lyme inside your body!!! Great for all sorts of reasons-@!!! Sincerely, Sarah

I didn't get my Lyme from a tick - fleas and mosquitos were my culprits.
But I think Brewer's yeast is supposed to keep ticks off dogs. Kind of makes me wonder if that's why our bodies harbor candida and other yeasts - to keep the bugs off?
