I seem to be on a 24 hour cycle. Every other day I am having fever (97.7-98 - typical 96-96.3 normal range), fatigue, headache, muscle aches, etc.

Then every other day I feel decent, a bit spent, but all things considered...well you know....

Is this a sign that my own immune system is trying to kick in???? Seems an awful short cycle where it has been more monthly for years!

Over the course of treatment I have had what you mention; one day I do well the next day not so well. I've always thought it was just a stage of getting better. On the good day I do all that I can and then on the off day I'm paying for it. Over time though the good days begin to out number the bad more and more.

Hi CJ,

I've noticed 3 type of sx. One is just feeling terrible because the meds make me feel terrible, exteme dizziness shortly after, nausea, vision, ringing, terrible taste, etc.

Two is an increased (sometimes horrific) intensity of my lyme symptoms - sometimes new ones and then they move...think this is herxing for me.

Three is feeling fluish, slightly swollen glands, sometimes a low grade fever...my immune system kicking in.

However, with Babesia - a low grade fever is one of the sx.

I haven't had much of an immune system (cd57 25 at start) so hadn't felt `sick' for a long time.

Didn't know when I had a raging strep for example - would get the nasty throat, and had terrible pnumonia 2x but felt ok (One of the reasons MSers on CRAB drugs `feel' so much better...another soap box)

Strangely, when I don't feel well and its immune system sx my doctors get very enthusiastic.

It's a good thing to have your immune system fighting, just not too hard. Don't want it over stimulated. The lyme world is upside down.

Body temp is lowered with lyme & friends, a more hospitable environment. Eventually, your normal temp will return to normal.

Be well!
