I was thinking about trying detox foot pads but i was searching through some old threads and I saw that a few people said it make them feel sicker...
obviously that makes me hesitant cuz i am pretty sick now and i dont know how much sicker i can take getting (especially with the holidays approaching)
any thoughts appreciated.

With a lot of new things I tried, I'd initially go through a period of worsening symptoms.
That didn't happen with foot pads, though. Although I couldn't actually tell you specifically what they did for me, I always felt they helped. And I used them pretty faithfully all during my first year of treatment.
I'd probably be using them still, but they do have a bit of an odor, and I'm extremely sensitive to smells.
Anyway, the simple answer to your question is: No, they didn't.
Feel free to send me a pm if you want any additionalo information.

Hmmmm, I could be one that you saw in an old thread... But there's more to the story, if it was me.
I tried detox foot patches about 6 months into treatment, and was already really sick to start... Within hours I was nauseas and horribly ill. Took off the foot pads, and it took a few days to feel back to my up to my "normal" again.
LLMD suggested that I shelve them for a year, and try them again when I was further along - maybe it was too much detox, too fast and more than my body could handle.
So... tried them again exactly a year later, and have loved them ever since.
Just to throw this out there, and I have no interest in any type of foot pad (well, I do have an interest in finding them for less money, so if you find cheaper ones that work, I'm all ears)... Podi Patches are my favorite with Health Marvels gold patch second place. I've tried others, those were just my personal favorites.

yes yes yes
The next morning I was in alot more pain and was suicidal.
Allthough this is my reaction to lots of things the supposedlly detox or kill yeast and or bacteria.
Milk Thistle did the same thing.

Interesting... I was just logging on here to ask the same thing!
Several times now, after using the patches overnight, I wake up with horrible HORRIBLE cramps in my calves and arches of my feet. This does not happen every time I use them, but it has happened a lot lately. Is it just a nasty detox?

i'd definitely give them a try for awhile.
be sure, however, you get the right ones. i used to use the gold ones from healthmarvel, but this time decided to try the blue since they said they were specifically for lyme.
unfortunately, i think the gold ones are better.

I have been using them for a few months and I think they are good. I had no worsening of symptoms due to them. I do think they would be helpful to people with foot problems specifically.-Despin

Maybe it's something in the adhesive? I still have scars from the adhesive for the leads to my halter monitor.
