31++ and 41++ would be enough for IGeneX to say you are Lyme positive. Those are both double starred bands highly indicative of Lyme according to IGeneX.

Are you on abx?

Oh, bummer! The only thing worse than having Lyme is your child having it. [Frown]

Hopefully she is on abx. Do you think you caught it early?

Did they test for co-infections, too?

I agree.

No

And NO!!!

Now I need to get my youngest tested....

I think I passed it to them both.

SO sorry to see this.

Is she manifesting any symptoms that you can tell?

Kids can bounce back fast!!!

I'm glad you tested her. Good for you!

How old is your daughter? I bet she'll beat this more quickly than you!

16 - my oldest

she was dx with tourettes and was having hallucinations at 9, she has nitght sweats, vomiting, nausea, muscle spasms, mood swings from rages to depression, weight issues.....etc etc etc

it wasnt until I found out about me that I found out all she was dealing with, she thought it was all normal! Then I started asking her quesstinos as I was researching because I found out about connection with tourettes and miscarriages. I had 3 in between my girls, unexplaines and had a terrible delivery with my oldest and almost lost my youngest throughout with a premie delivery.

Terrible feeling as a mom for sure....

Ok. I edited this post topic because I need some guidance....

After I was dx and figured out the above, I highly suspected she had this too. her most prominent symptom is GI. She vomited 19 out of 28 days 2 months ago. They ran tests and wanted to do more and more but I insisted we get labs back including WB before I put her through anything else.

Her endo/colonoscopy showed ulcers but NO H-pylori. That was when I said WHOA!!! ulcers are NOT stress related, they are bacterial. If there is no H-pylori then, in my mind, it HAD to be bacterial of some type.

She has been on carfate for the past 30+ days and it helped for the first 3 - 3 1/2 weeks but it doesnt seem to be helping her as much now. She vomitted yesterday am again and woke this am complaining. I know, just as she does, that today is gonig to be another bad day.

What suggestions for the GI issues when it seems to be the most prominent symptom? I know others have had this as even the only symptom! What is best for this????

I am sorry that I can not recommend something to help the GI issues, but from the teens I see around here with GI, it often is bart rearing its head.

Rage is also a likely manisfestation of bart.

Will/can she see your doctor who can link you and the kids to your infection???

My son had Lyme disease 5 years ago. He has had continuous GI symptoms since then. We learned he had delayed food allergies to many foods (gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, etc.) and removing them from his diet helps with the nausea and other GI symptoms.

Does your daughter take probiotics? My daughter (who does not have Lyme) had stomach erosion and was put on Carafate. I think that masked the symptoms where as the very strong probiotic our nutritionist put her on helped her heal.

In the past year my son developed increased OCD and vocal tics. He is being reevaluated for Lyme. I have spent time on the Latitudes forum for tics/tourettes. Latitudes recently had an article on their website newsletter (available to subscribers) titled "Lyme Disease in Tourette Syndrome and Autism" http://www.latitudes.org/membership/1/vol08/lyme_disease.html . Unfortunately there is not much discussion about TS but the title at least indicates that a connection is being made by some doctors.
