Crazy question, I know. But thinking straight doesn't seem to be a talent I have right now!
So, considering I have very late stage, chronic, disseminated LD & Masters (oh joy, huh? ), is it possible to have something like more than one herx at a time going?
I have been experiencing something like that for about 2 months now.
I feel like it's just a herx, but either just before one ends or shortly after on ends, another herx starts.
Or am I just ready for my "huggy jacket" now?? I'm really beginning to wonder!!!
Thank you in advance for help on this!! Posted by merrygirl (Member # 12041) on :

artraveler, to be honest with you i dont really understand what your experiencing from your post but I certainly dont want to leave you hanging either

I have been wondering the same thing.
I have and am treating lyme and babs...
and it seems like there has just been one big herx and then breaks of a secondary herx....
clearly the stuf i think of as babish (shortness of breath, heart palps, cold/ and hot, lightheaddness w nausea etc) do seem to decrease for about a week than start up again...
but still i dunno... i really dont think i got sicker and just missed it... i do think it is possible that maybe since i am treating both now it may make the herx (or herxes) worse cuz there is just more crud and different kinds of crud to clear out.
I know that this probaly does not help you figure out what exactly is going on with your herxes....
but your not alone in confusion over the "layering" of herxes.
Hoping we both get rid of however many herxes we have very soon.

Thank you soooo much Azurewish!!!
Man!! Here i was thinking, here we go again with the "you're just unique" things again!!!
I'm incredibly sorry you are having this also. I had a thought that maybe it's more like we are
having a lessening of the other sx's as opposed to an actual herx, but to tell the truth, it really doesn't feel that way. Posted by sixgoofykids (Member # 11141) on :
I don't know ....
My herxes usually start out with a night sweat and some air hunger, then I move into the fatigue, muscle aches, and other symptoms.
So, for me, the babs is the first to show, then the others .... though the babs is only noticeable at all on day one of my herx ....

Man!! It's bad enough to have to go through this--but to have it all so confusing - Ugh!!!
Thank you Sixgoofykids for your response. At least I know now that even with this, I'm not alone!!! Posted by artraveler (Member # 12764) on :
Okay, for those who are interested, I got an answer that makes sense. Someone on another board posted an answer to this same question
and that person said :"my LLMD would just say that the herx is moving around and that the abox are just working in different places/symptom
groups and it's one big long herx".
Makes sense to me!!! Thanks all for all of your input!! Posted by map1131 (Member # 2022) on :
I remember the days (more months & months) when I seemed to continually be herxing. I seemed to go from dead to near death, then maybe alive but barely. Not literally, but sure felt like it.
After awhile I realized that there was more than one cycle going on. Each bacteria, virus, parasite, toxin had it own ugly head and they seemed to take turns being in charge.
That's called a very ill and alarmed immune system that's loosing the battle. Too much for your organs like the liver, gall bladder, kidneys and colon to handle.
