Hi all--
As some of you will recall, I was having a horrible time around Thanksgiving with severe fatigue, flu-like feelings, weakness, and tea-colored urine. So many of you were so incredibly helpful and reassuring. I can't thank you enough. Well....you were right. My LLMD reached me on Sunday and said that all of my symptoms were classic signs of overtoxification of my system. He said tea-colored urine is a classic toxic sign of babs. He told me to slow WAY DOWN on the infrared sauna as it is a very powerful detoxifier and to spread my doses of mep, zith, art out throughout the day. He also confirmed that stopping my meds for two days was the right thing to do. After stopping my meds and flushing out my system, I feel MARKEDLY better.
On a separate note, my LLMD just returned from the ACAM conference and is very excited about anti-fibrinolytics. He said several of the physicians at the conference were discussing the success they were having at using anti-fibrinolytics to improve the efficacy of abx (in the context of other chronic disease besides lyme). Apparently, the physicians check the clotting cascade factors and treat with anti-fibrinolytics to dissolve the bacterial walls and thus improve efficacy of the antibiotics. Obviously, he is going to research this further to see if it could help the success of abx therapy for lyme patients. Has anyone used anti-fibrinolytics with their treatments?
