OK- there's no party and I don't want your pity but I'd love your eyes to read this! Honestly, I am feeling a little sorry for myself and real sick and tired of all this Lyme stuff. i think it's OK to feel this sometimes but not to make it a daily ritual- which I don't. In fact, I try to even forget I'm so sick- I have lots of other things to do with my time and mind. But today, I am frustrated.Long story made very short- i was treated for about a year and don't really think I ever got any better but since I lost my NP, I had no one else to go to. Until now- I am very happy I made the trip to LA (louisiana) to meet up with another great doctor. i saw his PA and that's fine by me since he knows his stuff. I was starting to go way down and knew in my heart that I had to make the =drive- if not for myself, but for my kids. Anyway- i'm really sick now- he mentioned something about my results being very low- something about mono and hepatitis since my immmunolical system is so screwed up. My CD is at 38- before it was a tleast a 55! I now have hypoththyrodism- so more meds. I thank Godto be alive to raise my teenagers, I thank God I found the doctor and now till fly for free to see him- but this disease is wearing me thin. My biggest problem, I think, is that I have no one to share this with except for you...and my dog! I don't ask for pity (Really!) and I hate it- but I have no family, not many friends and my teens need to see me strong. The only other significant other in my life is my dog- so it stinks. That's my life, so be it, we all have to work with what we are dealt in life. I just needed to vent- I wish i get some compassion- it's like "other" people don't know what we go through and even make fun of it- that hurts. It's like, if you don't have cancer, no one feels any of your pain...do you understand? So, thanks for reading and giving me your time- I hope you are doing well and dealing with this better than I am at the moment. Take care and thank you.

Oh you funky thing you. Dear dear.
So sorry to hear you are lower than a snakes belly right now.
I think the BEST thing I can do when in that spot.. and I've been there a zillion times no doubt... especially back in the years when I thought and was told by ducks that NO ONE else didn't get cured with the antibiotics I was given... and I was a freak... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
PIG heads!
Well, I spent my time trying to help others. That made me have to focus on something different than myself... and easing folks pain somewhat made me feel better. I also learned a lot by having to answer questions.
Hey...
Would you like the volunteer job of being the newest LymeNet greeter?
We have had wonderful folks doing that over the years.. and still do.. but as you can imagine it can get hard to keep up.. and we are just now starting into the "busy" season for Lyme disease.
Anyhow.. thanks for inviting me to your party. It was fun. But good thing it is a sight unseen party! If you saw the way I was dressed right now..
You'd roll in the floor and laugh your head off.

I have those days. I understand. Sending you all the good vibes that I can.
Its a frustrating disease. The better days you feel like its going to be ok. Then you are hit with a brick wall.
Its going to be alright, you will feel better soon

Thank you so much for the invitation. I don't get too many because I'm not very much fun these days...
I am herxing, my butt is sore from my bicillin shot, and I have greasy hair because I took a detox bath last night in Epsom Salts and used up all the hot water. I was too tired to shower this morning before work. So there...
If that image doesn't cheer you up, I got some detox tea and read the box today. This is a quote from the box... Get ready... Are you ready... Don't laugh too loud... Here goes...
"YOGA FOR PURIFICATION" Clear your mind while you cleanse your body. Sit cross-legged or in a chair. In hale deeply and exhale completely. Hold the breath out and pump your navel in and out. Continue to exercise for 1 to 3 minutes. When needed, take another deep breath".
This is the funny part... In small letters under this it says: "Before doing this exercise or participating in any exercise program, consult your physician".
So now we know what all the physicians are doing instead of treating Lyme. They are letting their patients know if it is ok to breathe!
Ha.

Hi Jo:
Thanks for the party invitation. We know how you feel and kudos to you for raising your teens on your own while struggling with your health.
I don't believe anyone can understand what it's like to deal with lyme unless they have had it themselves. It's just such a bizarre disease that people can't comprehend how debilitating it can be.

It is very nice to be going to someone elses pity party instead of my own.
I never thought to invite anyone to it and my tears flowed long.
Knowing that all of you people who post here are going through the same thing of mine gives me a feeling of 'legitimacy'.
The self doubt that has plagued me and the life that was stolen from me really is hard to take at times.
Know that you are not alone and that we as Lymeys need to hold each other up when we start to fall down.
The computer has proved to be a valuable tool to me to help myself, and to find people who can relate and help me out with kind words.
Hugs will make you live longer and the hug of a small child or infant is priceless.

Thanks for the invite; it was very cathartic. My best friend whom I really thought understood me told me a few days ago she thought I was having a "pity party" ...I was in bed for four days with a herx from starting Mepron and Zith.
It hurt more than just about anything anyone has ever said to me. I thought I was trying to explain to her how I felt and what my functioning level was; I didn't think I was feeling sorry for myself at all!

Next time see if you can see the LLMD in La.
He's mine and I adore him.
He always tells me we are going to get there.(remission)
You are too.
He doesn't stop giving me encouragement or hope and it sounds like
You really need some right now.
Just keep on keeping on. Hang in there.
Sending you positive thoughts and Angels to comfort you
And get you through this difficult time.
Hugs,
Geneal

BLAKE,
I, too, am suprised when I think I have done all the educating I can and then get a response like that.
Even though I know it has to do with their own filters that they see life through it is still too much to handle.
I always wonder if I had cancer or some other acceptable condition if it would be the same.
I guess there is no way to know what it is like living with this unless you are actually living with it.

Start on Rain Tree "Cat's Claw", it doesn't have to be TOA free, it will boost your immune system, also, my guess is your minerals are low, I have found it to be key in feeling better, trying adding 400 mg of magnesium or cal/mag each day

I agree...Thanks for the party invitation...but I won't be coming to TX until Christmas Day!
Hang in there....It DOES get better!!

All the best people are here!
I loved your tag and your post.
And feel your pain and discouragement. But keep on keeping on. As my mom always, always reminds me about any bump (or major roadblock!) in the road, 'even this too shall pass'.

So how does one get this position of official greeter? I've always thought of working for walmart but I'm still too young- and there is that annoying day job I go to! Do I have to spend the millions of dollars dedicated to my kid's college fund on this campaign or would self-nomination serve the same purpose?

My problem is I look to healthy compared to the way I did look. My neighbor keeps reminding me I 'look fine'. At least with cancer, people don't try to convince you it's all in your head, and doctors give you pain and sleep meds if they aren't curing you - that is, without treating you like a drug addict, or at least a drug seeker.
