Is unpasturized Apple Cider Vinegar (with or without raw honey) ok to take with Lyme Disease?
I am interested in taking it due to the health benefits plus my research shows it on the alkaline side of the charts concerning alkaline or acidic.
My urine pH is almost always 5.5 and lower.
Thanks for any insights.

I know it is great to take with Lyme because for months I was fixated with this one kind of salad made exactly the same way and the dressing was half apple cicder vinegar- yuM!*)*)!! I love LOVE that stuff!!! And that was when I was in perfect shape running all the time!!!
It is good to be alkaline because it can inactivate some viruses!
And this makes you more alkaline(*)!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have heard that Vinegar promotes yeast growth. I do not know for sure if that is true, but you may want to look into it.

Thanks for the replies. I did a search here on lymenet.org for apple cider vinegar and found some older posts. The posts were mixed where some said they used it and it helped and others said apple cider vinegar was not good for Lyme.
I am wondering if apple cider vinegar is different from other vinegar and it is good for those with Lyme?
Any research out there?
Thanks.

RAW, unfiltered ACV is very different from other vinegars. It contains lots of enzymes and nutrients, which is where all the health benefits come from. Google BRAGG ACV or ACV cures and you will find lots of stuff. As for yeast, I'm thinking that RAW ACV actually fights yeast, not promotes. Other types of vinegar, though, are not good for yeast.
If you can stomach it, I think Raw ACV mixed w/ Raw local honey diluted in a little water would be a good thing.

You can use Hienz AVC, it doesn't have to be unpasturized, I would never trust unpasturized anything in todays world. AVC will drain you of pottasium, do this.
Take at least 400 mg of Magnesium, drink orange juice for the pottasium and you're ph will go up, the reason your ph is low is your body is most likely low on Mag/Pot/Calc

This is a great website for info on ACV. I have been taking ACV on and off for about a year now. I find it helpful.
P.S. I registered today just so I could share this info!

My Ph is really low right now, and this is the piece of the puzzle we're fixing right now. I take ACV 1 Tablespoon with Raw honey twice a day plus I'm on IV magnesium 2 grams every day. I drink plenty of OJ and eat at least one banana a day. Plus, I'm eating tons of WHOLE FOODS with lots of fresh fruit and veggies.
You can get a list of foods online that will increase your ph. Alkaline friendly foods, etc.
It's not that hard of a diet and it tastes good. Fresh good food!
Good luck! I've gone from 5.0 to 6.8 in three months. It takes time, but it is possible. Jenn

Just curious......
Are you guys measuring your pH with urine/ saliva testing tape?
I wish I could find my testing tape..... I put it away when I had some company coming and that's the last I've seen of it. No clue where I put it. Posted by improver (Member # 8380) on :
I use Braggs organic apple cider vinegar. Its the best and its cheap. It prevents yeast growth and alkalizes.

Thanks everyone for the responses.
I have used only the urine strips to test pH.
Thanks olliekat for the website link that you posted, it has a lot of information.
schnuddelka, you have a doctor prescribing magnesium through an IV?
