I have borrellia, babesia, bartonella, but also Hepatitis C, herpes, cytomegalovirus, parvo B19, epstein barr and lord knows what else, probably several chronic fungal infections as well.
My LLMD is saying I have other issues not just lyme. Some of my symptoms have gone away with abx, but not all. The fevers and horrible sweats have gone away. The nerve pain is better.
I still have shortness of breath, palpitations, abdominal pain, bladder pain, and many more.
I understand there is a controversy about lyme, but what about all these other infections that ARE recognized, that I ALWAYS test positive for?
why don't infectious disease doctors treat them? what the hell DO infectious disease doctors treat anyway? Just AIDS?

I have a question. How many times were you aware of being bitten by a tick? And are you overexposed to ticks like me?

roro, Touche. Many of these infections (with the exception of hep C) are considered self limiting except in immune compromised individuals, elderly and a few other specific circumstances.
Lyme compromises our immune system but since they don't recognize chronic lyme (except in rare cases), they don't consider our immune systems to be compromised.

is there some kind of specialist who deals with weakened immune systems?
I am starting to think I am just overburdoned with infections and cannot fight off the things healthy people can.
isn't that the definition of AIDS? should I go try to get a AIDS non-HIV diagnosis and get treated?

all I can find is an allergist/immunologist and I went to one, and he said all he does is treat allergies. He suggested Hopkins, and they did NOTHING.
I know I don't have HIV. I tested every single year for five years after I stopped all risk factors (drugs, sex, etc)
I also tested a year ago, even tho I knew I couldn't have possibly been exposed.
Oh, and I forgot parasites, I probably have tons of worms too

Have you been treated for babesia? The shortness of breath and palpitations could come from the babs.
I'd keep working with an LLMD ... if yours can no longer treat you, I'd find one who can.
I felt much better, btw, when I got rid of my worms (Humaworm) ... but I've already been treating babs, bart, and Lyme.

yes, as far as the herpes that is what I meant, I have the HHV-6. For years I was taking transfer factor. maybe I should start taking it again

They have centers in various parts of the country.
They treat people with these types of viral infections, etc.
Since you have alot to deal with, you may want to give them a try.
They are not cheap but some of their treatments may be covered by insurance.
They treat using natropathic & allopathic remedies.
They are very nice there but it is expensive.

If your IgG titers are high enough (from Focus Diagnostics lab) then you may benefit from Valcyte.
I'm on Valcyte and seeing significant improvements.

Roro, I guess most infectologists will "throw" you away as patients with multiple infections are too difficult to treat.... They labelled me like an 'immunologic compromised patient' meaning, no treatment.
I would treat first babesia, if I were you, but who knows what is the worst infection in your case? Unfortunately, you'll have to get one by one or by little groups.
In my view, it's impossible to get them all at once. No way your body can do that or a super medicine...
That's why I started doing energetic tests. When I got immobilized, without knowing what to do (too many variables, no duck wishing to treat me), well, I decided to go the 'energetic' testing. At least, it showed me a way to start.
Now I'm out of lyme (knocking on wood), out of all these tick born infections (I had twice babesia, twice bartonella, and once ehrlichia, rickettsia, mycoplasma) for tick born infections, plus intestinal parasites, virus in the brain, hormonal problems, heart, lung problems, heavy metal intoxication, etc...
Then allergies were just increasing in a very rapid pace (the more toxic I was, I suppose, I got more of these food allergies...).
I followed ART and it worked for me, slow, with ups and downs, but steadily going better in the middle term. I also dealt with eletromagenetic field problem, and many dental/ mouth issues... At least, I got a 'sequence' to follow, that made my path to healing look less alleatory.
I hope you'll find your way out of this soup!
