for those of you that are on this, how can you afford it? I had appointment with lyme doc. and he wants me to try this for a month to see if it helps. I have neuro issues mainly with my walkling.

Also lyme doc. will not write out a script for this. I know i could get meds under my presctiption plan.

Any suggestions? [Roll Eyes]

If you need Rocephin, how can't you afford it? I have to say your question made me laugh because you guys who need Rocepihn have it easy now compared to ten years ago- Rocephin you can get for $500 a month now!!! That's cheap! It used to be thousands and thousands every month!
Then it went off-patent and you can get generics!! I spent $50,000 cash on IV Rocephin.
Today I could have had the same amount for only $3,000. But I am I glad I got it when I did and I don't regret a penny of it- it saved my life!!!

What do you mean he won't write a script but wants you to go on it? There is no way to get it without a prescription!!! He needs to write you a prescriptioN!!! Sounds weird!!!

Perplexedly,
Sarah

I should have said that the doctor wants the meds. to be used from his practice, meaning he would not write the script out for me to get it with my prescription plan.

forgot to mention that getting meds. at doc. will cost me $225-250 per day........to be on it for 3 days a week, that is a lot of money.

what???!!!
That's crazy!! I don't undertsand WHY!!! Maybe you should think about a different doctor!!!

It was worth it to me, but these days you can get it so much cheaper- that just doesn't make sense to me!

Maybe he is trying to stay off radar of insurance companies???

I think it is wrong for the doctor to say you need IV Rocephin, but that he won't write a prescription for it or offer it in any other way to his patients.

I would think about another doctor, this does not sound ethical even.
