After a year of antibiotics and slowing very little to no improvement under a good LLMD, I would like to add another treatment into it and have heard this protocol is good, just wanted to hear from people on the Buhner Protocol and how you are doing... what you are taking... anyone not see improvement... ect.
Are there any good websites for the Buhner protocol?

I've been on Abx for 19 months with lots of probiotics and homemade yogurt.
Heparin for hypercoagulation for 2 months.
Hormones including HGH, compounded T3 and hydrocortisone, estradiol and testosterone pellets, DHEA, and progesterone.
All my labs for hormones came back below normal. 24 hour urine test is high. Saliva is high. Blood is low. I flunked the HGH stim test so my insurance pays for HGH.
On Buhner herbs for 9 months. Not taking any chances.
I feel better than I've felt in years. I'm taking flying lessons. Working out again. Doing old hobbies like gardening.

So the buhner herbs is where you really saw improvement? Awesome, oh and I want to fly too. One of my great friends is a son of a Blue Angle pilot!
I want to get one of these Posted by hardynaka (Member # 8099) on :
Hi Byron,
I'm not only on Buhner's herbs, but they're certainly one of my main guns!!
I hope you'll fly again!!!!
I did two mistakes lately: I was feeling so great for months that I decided to stop all Buhner's herbs and only continue attacking my pre-lyme skin fungal infection. Mistake # 1.
Mistake # 2 was having a full month of about 3.5 hours of sleep a night every single day! I got a job to do at home, and decided to work during the night (during the day, I take care of my little one and of my 'farm' house!).
I got a small relapse after that (a bit too stupid from me ), but I got again things under control.
I'm on stephania, astragalus and cats claw, low doses as maintenance. These are not direct killers, but I feel they work well to keep my immune system well enough not to avoid a new relapse.
Have you treated co-infections? I find Buhner's herbs excellent for borrelia, but for co-infections, you'll still have to search for parallel herbs/ treatment.
Good luck! Selma

I take some Buhner herbals along with my antibiotics. I really need them, 4 times a day. I feel better after taking them,; but if i miss a dose, the next time i take them, it hits me harder.
It makes sense to me that i need them added to antibiotics. Right now i'm on tetracycline. As i understand it vaguely, without checking to make sure, the antibiotic binds to the 50 S ribosome (is it penicillin that binds to the 30 S ribosome?) (is that right?), thus locking them up in handcuffs, --- but temporarily; the lock-up is reversible. If my weakened immune system doesn't come along and kill the bacteria, then i need some HERBALS to come along and kill them!
So i take Andrographis, 1600 mg per dose, 4x/day, and Polygonum, 4000mg per dose, 4x per day; (if you read Buhner, you'll learn that the Polygonum can be found in Resveratrol pills of Source Naturals brand).
Other herbals i have to add to get a more powerful and diverse weaponry, since those two alone are not enough for me, are: Allimax, Pau d'arco, Neem, Teasel, Jarrow Mushroom optimizer, Pycnogenol.
Be sure to take Milk Thistle to protect your liver. I take other supplements, which seem to help in the complementary effect.
I've been taking those herbals for a year. Cat's Claw is a great lyme fighter, but i can't take it because it causes me srist and foot tendon pain; a sign of progressing damage and a warning to stop.
